I attended today’s commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the tragic loss of 37 workers’ lives when the air raid shelter at the EMI factory in Hayes was hit by a V1 in World War 2. I laid a scented rose from my garden. A rose from a Hayes garden to the memory of Hayes workers.
