@eStream_ @EWErickson Same context of oneness Jesus talked about in John 17, the intercessory prayer. “Father, make these (disciples) one even as we are one.” Clearly he wasn’t asking His Father to roll up all of the disciples’ spirits into one ball of metaphysical same spirit. One = perfect unity.

The Book of Mormon contains 31 total pages of biblical text, most of which is the Isaiah chapters quoted by Nephi from the plates of Brass. That is only 5.8% of the text. The critics can’t explain the brilliance of the other 500 pages: Lehi’s dream, Zenos’ allegory of the olive tree, the stripling warriors, Ammon and Lamoni, Captain Moroni, etc etc etc. The Book of Mormon is incredible and can’t be explained away with the lazy “it’s plagiarized from the Bible” position.
