She helped Congress draft the Clean Water Act of 1972 & she counseled Presidents Johnson & Reagan on water pollution and acid rain. In 1996 Dr. Patrick was awarded the National Medal of Science. She lived to the age of 105, passing away in 2013.

Snow blankets the Craik-Patton House in Charleston, WV. โ๏ธ This 1834 home belonged to James Craik, grandson of Dr. James Craik - personal physician to President #GeorgeWashington. The home was saved by NSCDA-WV & moved to its current location in 1973.
