Mum to super swimmers Jessica and Charlotte and to a amazing son who has Sotos syndrome and SWAN syndrome, who teaches us everyday, nothing is unreachable!
@Tudorman7@OurEnglishRose@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 Then if that happens we will vote them out again, have to try something, the council controlled SEND services been cut & in decline the past 10 plus years. They canโt cut much more for children services, itโs my understanding there is pretty much nothing now for adult care anyway
@Tudorman7@OurEnglishRose@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 People like us who work with disabled dependents arenโt entitled to anything! If youโre claiming a benefit, charities etc fall over themselves to help you. It doesnโt pay to work in this country. So what will change for people like me? Reform canโt be any worse for working people
@OurEnglishRose@Tudorman7@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 Big difference between my daughter whoโs needs, although there, are not costly to meet and she can work and be independent and my son who is totally dependent on carers to stay alive. Both are entitled to high rate. Nothing to do with discrimination, just pragmatic common sense.
@OurEnglishRose@Tudorman7@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 They arenโt approved because the system is flawed, based on speculative need and not diagnosis, if they are capable of work then they should. DLA/PIP is to help with the extra costs of meeting disability related needs.
@KShabby16334956 Labour are trying that now, conservatives were just as bad, keep voting for the same and expecting different is the definition of madness, Iโm willing to try reform, even if to shake things up!
@Tudorman7@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 My daughter who is autistic etc, is able to work in some form and is continuing to study. I feel she does not need the financial care my son receives.
As parents and business owners we are trying to leave provisions for them when we are gone. The gov is making it near impossible
@Tudorman7@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 Be supported under reform as I understand it. The ones able to work and claim from playing the system wonโt be, that can only be a good thing for taxpayers and services users? Reform will have to support these people into work. My experience, my son will never be able to work,
@Stuff_by_Aaron @GMB@edballs@susannareid100 Itโs not grown or improved in years, in fact the opposite is true. Itโs madness to keep doing the same thing, voting these same parties in and expecting a different result. I may not agree with everything reform says, but someone different in gov may shake things up make changes
@Tudorman7@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 Honestly, I donโt really know their policies on the disabled. What I do know is many are able to claim that imo, do not need it. I do not claim anything and never have. My son has DLA, he is medically & developmentally complex & solely reliant on us as carers & to provide for him
@millie141414@e39driver@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 Unfortunately yes, I havenโt had any respite due to lack of carers, BUT the quality of carers mainly from immigrants with language & knowledge barriers, is that low that I wouldnโt trust my son or relative under their care. Seen & heard too many horror stories.
@millie141414@GMB@edballs@susannareid100 Yes, I care for my disabled son, and I will for the rest of my life as he requires 24/7 care. As well as working myself. Iโm not a fan of the immigrant carers, Iโve seen way too many bad ones in real life. Would much prefer improving social care & getting British people to work
@GMB@susannareid100 Please stop calling normal British people far right!!!! All colours and creeds were there Saturday, and not for Tommy but for the British people!! Is GMB a far left government puppet?
@GMB Iโd be off to find a rich country somewhere who would give me a hotel to live in, food in my belly, clothes on my back and money in my pocket and if Iโm really lucky Iโll get days out too! Oh wait, thatโs usโฆ..
@GMB No, we are not the same people anymore, we are overrun with people from other countries and our society has changed due to that and not for the better all thanks to our government over the years. Out of touch with the British people who are now on course to be a minority in uk
