On my way back from work today, I saw this group of police officers tagged as RRS on the road conducting stop and search operations which had been banned by the IG of police. The main issue here is that they’re still harassing the youth as you can see from the pictures.#EndSARS
See, this is the luckiest time to be born. In fact, not just childhood the level of things we got to experience growing up, whether it was basketball, music, football or technology, was different.
This generation grew up watching Bolt, Ronaldo, Messi, Nadal, Federer, Hamilton, Djokovic, LeBron and Kobe at or around their absolute peak. Then watched the upcoming goats 🐐 like they’re our younger ones. We didn’t just watch great athletes, we watched entire eras being created in real time. You could literally pick a sport and find someone who was redefining what human beings thought was possible.
Then look at music. We grew up when CDs, MP3s, radio, MTV, music videos and physical albums were still a thing, but we also witnessed the transition into YouTube, streaming and social media. We went from downloading songs on our phones and sharing music through Bluetooth to having virtually every song ever made available instantly with streaming platforms.
And that is what makes the 1992–2003 window so special.
We were basically the bridge between two completely different worlds.
We knew what it was like to play outside until your parents started looking for you. We knew cartoons, DVDs, VHS, CRT televisions, PlayStation 1, PS2, Nintendo, FIFA/PES, Nokia phones, Snake, ringtone downloads, Bluetooth and going to a cyber cafe just to use the internet. We met everything even coins.
Then suddenly, the internet became normal. Google became normal. YouTube came. Facebook came. Smartphones came. Instagram, WhatsApp and eventually TikTok changed how the world communicated. We met sending letters, late night calls.
We had a childhood before everything became digital, but we became adults in a completely digital world.
We remember when you had to wait for a song to come on the radio. We also became the generation that could discover an artist on YouTube. We watched football highlights on television, then moved to watching them on YouTube and eventually social media. We went from handwritten notes and physical books to Google, smartphones and AI.
Even football itself was crazy. We witnessed the final years of Ronaldinho, the rise of Messi and Ronaldo, the dominance of Barcelona and Madrid, the evolution of the Premier League, Neymar, Iniesta, Xavi, Modric, Salah, the greatest rivalry between two players we may ever see and we were young enough to actually enjoy all of it as it happened.
You can think of any sport and it’s almost the same.
And the beauty of it is that we weren’t completely consumed by technology yet.
You could spend 5 hours outside with your friends, come home, watch a football match, play PlayStation, listen to music from a CD or MP3, then maybe go online for the first time that day.
That balance probably won’t exist in the same way again.
We didn’t just grow up during a great period.
We grew up watching the world change from analogue to digital in real time.
That is what makes our childhood so rare. Like so so Rare.
This 15-year-old boy, Bassey Stephen Etim, won today's Sterling Bank Online National Mathematics Quiz.
He is currently an SS2 student at Dority International Secondary School, Aba, Abia State.
He outperformed every other student who participated from across the country.
Another star has been discovered.
I ask you, my people, to empower me as your president and commander-in-chief. I will be in charge. I have the requirements for correct leadership: character, competence, commitment, compassion, hard work, honesty, humanity, and humility.
I learned this one during service when I was posted to one remote area.
One night while I was on call, a known diabetic woman was rushed in a subconscious state.
I quickly checked her sugar with my own personal strip and it was reading high.
I gave 1.5 liters of normal saline since the patient is also hypertensive.
A lot of thoughts were going on in my mind. No insulin any way in the hospital and no pharmacy around.
I thought about grinding an oral antidiabetic and push it through the NG tube but there was no NG tube.
I thought about referring this patient, but the closest hospital is over 5miles away.
That was when the holy Spirit whispered in my ears to use the HYPOGLYCEMIC effect of quinine to reduce the blood sugar.
We proceeded with it but carefully monitored the patient till dawn.
Practicing medicine in Nigeria can be crazy sometimes
Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply
During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.”
When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans.
In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it.
Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

HONOUR, COURAGE AND SACRIFICE:
THE STORY OF LATE COL M ABU ALI. Q
A STORY OF BRAVERY, COURAGE AND SACRIFICE.
People don't really talk about the late col Abu Ali enough. Without him, there might not be a peaceful Nigeria today. Because if the Boko Haram terrorists had taken over Maiduguri Metropole, that would have been the end of it all.
He came to the frontline when virtually the whole of Maiduguri was living in fear,
The use of FLAGYL (Metronidazole) for anything related to diarrhea has to be one of the funniest things I encounter routinely in practice.
Are there instances where the medication is ideal for “diarrhea”? Yes, but only in very specific cases:
ONE: When the diarrhea is due to anaerobes, especially Clostridioides difficile overgrowth, which presents with diarrhea as a symptom. Even here, Flagyl is now a second-line option.
TWO: When the diarrhea is due to a protozoan infection (such as Entamoeba histolytica or Giardia lamblia).
You can often differentiate these from other causes of diarrhea based on their characteristic symptoms.
Any other use of Flagyl for diarrhea is a waste of money because most cases are self-limiting (they don’t require antibiotics).
Flagyl won’t work for diarrhea caused by any other condition unless it falls under those two categories.
Before spending on unnecessary medication and endangering yourself, speak to a qualified healthcare practitioner.
