In Lisbon I went out for a meal. I had to have proof of a Covid test *that day*, but didn’t. So the restaurant sold me a Lateral flow test for €2.50. I went in & enjoyed my meal, with all the other tested customers. Pretty simple really. No fuss and no arguing about “freedoms”.
At this start of 2022, COVID is everywhere.
There are a range of things you can do to reduce the impact on yourself & your family:
1. Preventing COVID infection
2. A Home COVID Preparation Checklist
3. What to do if you & your household get COVID
4. Recovering from COVID 1/25
My toughest #COVID loss this week was a fully vaccinated+boosted pt my age (with young kids) who was immunosuppressed due to organ transplant.
We did CPR for 30 mins. It was hard to stop.

@roryjedgar It will create more cases. I don’t know why we are surprised. The guy who wanted us to go to the footy, live alongside the virus and stare the virus down. Why do people listen to him? https://t.co/FP8axaW6l0
Can someone tell me the science origin of "4 hours" makes for contact? I have been hunting high and low to where this comes from? I can find "fleeting contact", I can find "airborne between rooms from door opening". But seem not to find any science on 4 hours?
Denmark is a few weeks ahead of Oz in the omicron outbreak. Deaths are on the rise; equivalent to ~100/day in Australia. Their vaccination rates are better than Oz’s; 3rd dose is 42% vs 8%. Creating the impression that it is ok for omicron to spread is a public health threat.
