Through a voluntary agreement with the @USFWS, we’re supporting habitat conservation to improve ecosystems designated for the endangered Monarch Butterfly. 🦋 We’re expanding the number of acres included in the Monarch program, monitoring these habitats, and planting milkweed to support Monarch breeding and migration. During Pollinator Week we’re proud to highlight how collaborative conservation and intentional land stewardship makes a meaningful difference in protecting our pollinators.
As the quantum campus rises along the shores of Lake Michigan, we’re delivering the critical upgrades needed to power every step of its development.
Our engineers are evaluating equipment at the site and assessing the existing power needs of the surrounding community. Our reputation for best in class reliability and access to clean energy in Illinois played a key role in @PsiQuantum’s decision to build here.
This emerging technology holds extraordinary potential, with the ability to drive breakthroughs across major sectors — from energy and healthcare to cybersecurity, finance and beyond.

We’ve partnered with Windy City Pollen to support pollinators in a big way. Together, we’re maintaining and harvesting three honeybee hives and three native bee hotels installed along our right‑of‑way at three prairie sites. 🐝 We’re using Pollinator Week to highlight the essential connection between bees and our food. Bees and other pollinators are responsible for helping fertilize many of the fruits and vegetables we rely on daily. These hives are part of our broader commitment to stewardship and pollinator conservation.
We’re expanding access to solar in Minonk, IL! ☀️
Working with @Nexamp, two new community solar sites are coming online in northern Illinois️! One of them is among the first on our system to connect through a wireless Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) solution, helping us bring projects online in new ways.
That’s part of how we’ve now connected 1.7 GW of distributed energy across our grid and counting.
@YuriSaheb Hello Ali, we're sorry for the inconvenience. If you're unable to transfer service online. One of our customer service representatives will be able to assist you. We appreciate your patience while you're holding.
What does it look like to bring clean energy into everyday spaces?
In Bronzeville and Rockford, solar-powered workstations are doing just that, creating new opportunities for connection, convenience and community impact.

We’re celebrating the start of Pollinator Week! 🐛 Pollinators come in all shapes, sizes and colors, while thriving across our 500+ acres of native prairies. From bees and butterflies to caterpillars, these hardworking species move pollen between similar flowers to help fertilize, grow and sustain ecosystems. These small but mighty creatures have a huge role in building and strengthening natural habitats in our territory.
Congrats to the @ObamaFoundation on the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center! Through the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program, we helped the center save ~500,000 kWh annually and avoid 380,000+ lbs of carbon emissions. A cleaner future for our communities!
Today, we celebrate Juneteenth—a day to honor freedom, reflect on our shared history, and recognize the continued work toward equality and opportunity for all.
We're proud to commemorate this meaningful day alongside the communities we serve across Chicago and northern Illinois.
