@cocoalopez_@RubberNinja@mexopolis That's a bit of a strawnan: My point was not whether he was the biggest, or the first, or if he directly employed anyone; Just that he had an important influence. You can always skim through the Mexicans replying on various sites to see 8f it's true or not.
@cocoalopez_@RubberNinja@mexopolis He absolutely did help lift up Mexicans in Animation. Across the years he has helped highlight Mexican animators, and has brought a spotlight on the value of design through that cultural lens.
He wasn't the first, but he contributed. Plenty of Mexicans are disappointed.
@DevteamL@TheMG3D The terms were heavily homogenized, and now some of the less popular applications/branches of the tech take advantage of that to mislead.
So yeah, it's been almost a decade since experimental stuff AlphaStar was a thing, but gamers ate concerned with "sloppy" results not tools
@mooserocka331@Charalanahzard No they don't. If you've ever looked at game developer CVs you are bound to eventually find many cases of "work in unannounced project". NDAs and professional discretion is a thing
@xaqq13@jadel4w@JamrozGary@BryNgons That's a risky attitude though. When an employer does disagree with the "meta" and takes the artist to court, the artist will not be able to argue "but everyone does it!". They will still get the book thrown at them.
Artists should understand that risk and proceed accordingly
@sainimatic@Gidcheeen@SmilodonnaVT People forget just how fast and efficient GPUs are drawing high polycounts these days.
And what has been a complaint for the past year? high VRAM requirements.
For a central hero character? Worth it
@vansh0ter@jadel4w@TsutsuYumeGunnm Anyone who has ever worked with those understands there are limitations to them (close up resolution, silhouette at angles, etc). The limitations of modelling the detail is performance, but when that's not at issue (it isn't here) then it has the best fidelity.
@WallStreetApes@BarackObama The post above you includes links to organizations that provide material help to those in need.
Put aside your political bias, and instead seek to aid those in need. Your attempt to turn this into an argument shows you don't want to help, you want a fight.
@MollieDamon@PhilSzostak This list is great, but I want to appeal to your selection with an additional inclusion. The Indie genre deserves recognition, too:
@silverpepsi @AmyClukey @rinconhilldad Big fallacy: It's not a failed strategy just because it's not flawless. Someone else might still do it, but she doesn't have to be the one propagating it.
"If you don't do something counterproductive someone will" is also a very bad life philosophy
@TMllIll@Dachsjaeger Imagine you are driving a car on a road. You have to swerve and brake trying to dodge some holes on your way. You miss some, you hit some.
It's uncomfortable.
You are blaming the car for the holes on the road.
@Molindawolf @barbella_alex @Pennylane130267@kw1979@ElieNYC They asked if you believed in democracy (a concept); Congress is not democracy, it's a branch of government.
A government by the people for the people should be decided by the people. The electoral college system does not represent the will of the people.
@CatholicCharm Consult a canon lawyer, argue (and probably obtain) for nullity before the Church
Ta-dah! No abuse needed, you can still go your separate ways (and with a declaration of nullity from the Church).
Things aren't all black or white, even in matters of faith.
