Yearning Is Learning

To yearn
is to learn—
but only when you’re knee-deep
in the thick,
when your head won’t quit spinning,
when it ain’t tomorrow you’re running from
—it’s yesterday chasing you down.

That’s the burn.
That’s the turn.
That’s the lesson hiding in the churn.

Find your compass.
Spit the question:
what the hell is it I really yearn?

‘Cause every hunger’s got a teacher.
Every ache’s a preacher.
In the chase,
you thought it was love you were bleeding for,
but truth—
it was life itself,
grimy,
uncertain,
calling you through alleyways and ash-grey mornings.

And when you circle back,
see yourself yearn from far away—
man, you laugh,
drop the concern,
let it burn off like a fog.

That’s the gift:
in the yearning,
you learned.
In the learning,
you lived.

Well thank you for your patience. It's been several years of hard writing. It's nearly broken me. And still the book is not ready! Hahaha.... Or is it?

Okay, I've spent bloody ages on creating my blog so if you could be so kind as to click there, link in bio, if I add it here Mr Musk will freak out. DoH! He probably will now either way, because his algos will have crawled and detected his name. You better run now, whilst you can. RRRRUN YOU FOOOOOLS (LoR Fans will get that, everybody else will just think I've finally lost the plot... but in truth I have found it BIG TIME! And my book really does explain all).

Being conscious of things is easy—
Thoughts tap out in morse code,
A mental braille of sight.

Yet in conscious unconsciousness
Lie universes of intense delight.

But how can this be experienced?
A world so unconsciously grown?
Where is the anchor to feel it—
The meat, the marrow, the bone?

It’s in the unknowing that you know,
In the agreement with nature’s flow.
That’s where all experiences go.

So take your ticket by being aware:
Pause. Stare. Breathe in the air.
And today you will see—
That I am you,
And you are me.

☀️🍊 Happenstance — Or Was It?

Last night, at sunset, I stood in the park.
Feet felt hot—kicked some loose bark—
It struck some litter—so near the bin!
Watery eyes blinked a Morse code
As golden light forgave the sin.

The sky kept falling—blinking goodnight—
Signaling gently, “Your thinking’s not right.”
But my peacock brain, it carried on—
SCREECHING!
“The litterer won’t care I’m reaching—
For this bin—and it's their sin!”

Then I thought—or did I feel?
Happenstance… or was it real?

That plastic bag had landed just there—
A perfect perch, to show the world I care.
To train my brain from running blind…
To pause, and notice: it’s GREAT being kind!

The sun beamed wide ‘til my soul blinked too.
Suddenly—I could see the view:
Those trees, that sky—
A tangerine hue.

Now truly exposed,
I developed photos beneath watery eyes,
Watched the sun bid farewell
to orange-peel skies.

Or was that ROAR? 🦁

Choice is a powerful aphrodisiac
It makes words hard—to choose!
But what if nobody's watching?
You'd have nothing left to lose

Flowers ripping petals
Rusty razors cutting flesh
Hacking your hair off
Writing something shocking
And extraordinarily fresh!

What if nobody's watching?
Perhaps you should live that way today?
Doing what you love to do
