Another AEGIS Destroyer preparing to join The Fleet! Combining Alpha & Bravo Trials incentivises each partner of the Navy-Shipyard-Combat System Integrator Team to focus on the common goal! Getting 'War Ready' Ships to sea. RADM Wayne E Meyer 'War Ready' concept lives on.
Arsenal Ship was to be manned by one man and a dog! The dog was there to keep the man from touching any controls. Capable of Autonomous Operation but deigned to be controlled from an AEGIS Destroyer. A concept who's time has come.

One of Iran's most overlooked naval assets is its midget submarines. The Ghadir class midget submarine takes coastal defence to the extreme. Displacing just 125 tons submerged, they are specifically built for the very shallow waters of much of the Persian Gulf. Iran has between 15 to 20 of these boats depending on the source.
They have just two torpedo tubes, and are not believed to carry reloads. They can fire torpedoes and cruise missiles, prepare ambush, lay naval mines and retrieve special forces, like frogmen. According to some accounts, the Ghadir is able to stay hidden by resting quietly on the seabed, which is one of the possible asymmetric tactics the Iranian Navy can employ during hostilities.
Given their numbers, the Ghadir can overwhelm technologically superior enemies, especially given that they are more expendable than larger subs that Iran also has. The development of midget submarines embodies the investment Iran had made in asymmetric naval warfare, which aims to overcome the US Navy with unconventional methods.

@bulkeley_john US has expertise, but needs experienced lead ship people which retired. First in class requires requirements & mission definition before material ordering and construction start. Navy program office, prime contractor and Navy Labs must work as a team "Producing War Ready Ships".

🚨🇪🇺 Europe’s Mark I micro missile has successfully intercepted a Shahed-type drone in tests, reaching high subsonic speeds.
👉 Key details from tests:
🔹Range: up to 2 km
🔹Weight: ~2 kg
🔹Designed to counter small drones at low and medium speeds
Uses semi active laser guidance
The missile is planned for future testing in Ukraine, marking Europe’s step toward countering drone threats.
🎯 Small, fast, and precise, Europe’s new drone defense.
Another AEGIS Destroyer, USS Thomas Hudner DDG114 shares their experiance in defending Israel while under attack from Iran and it's proxys. Glad they shared this valuable Air and Missile Defense experience for all that follow.

Some people question practicality of Battleships. Deploying advanced weapons like High Power Lasers, Rail Guns and Conventiomal Prompt Strike Missiles require more space, auxiliary services and electric power. Larger ships are required to accomodate these systems.
General Atomics is holding discussions with the U.S. government regarding the role of railguns on the Trump-class guided-missile battleships 🇺🇸⚡️
