My last post as Commandant, Defence School of Transport as I come to the end of my time in the role. Last Saturday DST hosted Ex Northern Strike, the RLC Mil Skills competition. GSM DST accompanied me round the course - what a way to bid farewell to DST - and my webbing!

@NatashaMDay They are great aren’t they - the DST one at Leconfield is often used by permanent staff, students and their families and it provides a really useful resource to make sure that we can support people when they need it most.

@pinstripedline FMT process has changed. Now an app (my Drive) which removes some of the bureaucracy. Civ driving licence meets requirement for driving civ hire vehs on Rd but does not record specialist requirements such as conversion to type and cross country skills. All covered by new app.

@UnimportantO @ArmyBasing @mod_dio @reds10ltd Quite right, you will appreciate that it’s a balance of cost/time/effect. The contractor hands us a relatively blank canvas. We are now adding the style through informal learning cues ( pictures/graphics etc) which educate, inform, entertain (and provide noise attenuation).

@BucksheeSSgt @ArmyBasing @mod_dio @reds10ltd Yes, multi occupancy for short term cses only - a bit like the new transit accommodation elsewhere on the army estate.

@Wee_G79 @ArmyBasing @mod_dio @reds10ltd These new buildings are for students on short duration courses. The buildings replace older accommodation that consisted of 12/24 person open plan barrack rooms. These blocks are better equipped and cost far less to run. They are great value for money.
