Complete negligence on display.
For the last 6-7 years ….this stretch of road has streetlight poles installed with no functional lights fitted, leaving commuters in the dark. The only function of these poles is for generating ad revenue or for political promotions !!
Multiple residents’ of @voiceofmandur demands have fallen on deaf ears.

This video was shared in a common residents’ WhatsApp group from #ManduruGramaPanchayat and shows the condition of one of the key roads connecting to the main road around the Budigere Cross corridor.

Several large apartment communities like Brigade Buena Vista , Shriram Greenfield , Definer etc depend on this stretch every single day. Not to mention the rest of the folks residing at Bommenahalli village whose situations are as bad.
And unfortunately, the situation doesn’t improve after reaching the main road - the condition there is just as bad.

This is the daily reality for thousands of residents commuting through the Budigere Cross corridor.

As you rightly said, streetlights are a basic, essential service. Yet in our area , even this basic need remains unmet, putting residents’ safety at risk every night.

Please visit the corridor and direct the responsible agencies to provide working streetlights within a clear timeline. A decade is far too long to wait for the basics.

Since it election time , it’s time to highlight some of the issues we citizens of Budigere Cross and surrounding areas are facing . This is for the attention of all contesting Candidates from all parties :
1. Frequent BESCOM #power fluctuations in apartments causing damage to our appliances .
2. #Trafficjams at Budigere cross underpass
3. Increased reports of robbery attempts , chain snatching etc reported by residents #safety
4. No Kaveri #watersupply
5. Slow progress of #roadworks and #drain construction !! Poor quality of road finish causing pot holes to keep appearing .
6. Confusion of owners association registration and absolute land ownership issues . #legal
7. Lack of clarity of OC for apartments in panchayat limits and delays in processing Katha documents etc #propertydocumentation
