That's the contradiction. Many Punjabi nationalists talk about unity but the version of unity they promote often means everyone else adapting to a Punjabi centric narrative. Non Punjabis are expected to prioritize Punjabi historical experiences, cultural norms, political sensitivities and even accept Punjabi dominance in state institutions as natural and justified.they want the federation to operate on majoritarianism which is totally unacceptable to non punjabis.
