Mahendra Chawla, a key witness in the Asaram Bapu case, has been arrested in Panipat in a fraud and extortion case.

Police say Chawla, along with his brother and nephew, allegedly extorted ₹70 lakh from a Sarpanch and demanded another ₹80 lakh.
