@vixxyblast It's really just that. They need to make money, so they're capitalizing on the nostalgia users carry. By definition, a game like VRChat is very bad at making money, and without money, its subpar infrastructure choices will bite them in the ass and eventually bankrupt them.

Got dedicated servers and mod diffing working. It's pretty sweet. It needs some major refining before any kind of release but its def getting there. Java is way easier than C++.
Taking a break from LCE: Steamworks Edition because C++ is making my mind melt, so I'm instead working on Steamworks4Java: A java mod that adds Steamworks Multiplayer support.

It's got a kink or two, but Remote Play Together splitscreening works! It was super easy too, since steam presents it as just another controller. kinda just worked out of the box.

I've been tinkering with the LCE leak, and I found it stupid that we're lacking WAN multiplayer, so i added Steamworks.
The tests in this video are done with a second computer on a separate wifi, both running the same build, both with eachother friended on Steam.

@Ari05VR if i can finish it! texturing is the bane of my existence and thats kinda where im stuck now... though if i *can* finish it id like to make an iron lung fangame with it but we'll see.
Deviating from usual posting, I recently watched (and forced my friends to watch) Iron Lung with me, and got so inspired, I began modeling the SM-13 herself. It's not often that I do a from-scratch model, so I'm very much diving blind here.
