I saw someone else posting about this scam recently, but since I became a target myself, I wanted to share it here so my moots and others can stay aware and be careful if they encounter something similar.

Earlier today, a person messaged me claiming that they and their friends had accidentally reported my account. To “fix” the issue, they sent screenshots of what was supposedly an email from the X support team, saying I needed to contact one of their support representatives on Discord to explain the situation.

I’ll admit, I almost believed it for a moment. But the idea of contacting X support through Discord immediately felt suspicious and raised a lot of red flags.

Out of curiosity, I went ahead and contacted the supposed X support representative on Discord. In the comments, I’ll show exactly how this scam works so others can recognize it and avoid falling for it.

Reminder: X support team won't contact you via Discord for sure, they use emails and official forms on X website.
