I’m pretty bitter about comics right now. It appears more and more like we have elected to prioritize online drama over comics in all fronts. Internet clout is more sought after than comic work. The last two weeks have been an absolute shitshow of fighting and destruction. /5

Alex de Campi is a vicious psychopath. Ed Piskor did more for the love of comics in the 6-7 years of his show than de Campi could if you gave her 200 years. Comics will never be safe, for anyone, as long as psychopathic mediocrities like her are tolerated.

Seeing the collection of defiant tweets is disheartening. You don't actually have to say anything. You can support women without participating in an angry search for the next target. This is a comic industry infected by rabies.

It’s a dumb strategy that aside from losing financial opportunity hurts the cause you want to promote (if that’s goal). 4-5 blockbuster films with a woman in the lead would be powerful. A CGI mess of a character as a woman instead of a man in 10 min of screen time is pointless.

There’s a flaw here though; a solo Black Widow franchise done like Bond or MI would make good money, be easy to market and catapult her into the spotlight; effectively “erasing” (or reducing) male influence through $$$.

Or you swap a small supporting character and go nowhere.
