The second queer comic character of the day is Hartley Rathaway / Pied Piper from DC Comics.
He's one of the earliest gay characters at DC. He came out in Flash (1987) #53, written by Messner-Loebs. He remained a frequent character in Flash and became Wally's friend.
The queer comic characters of the day are Maika Halfwolf and Tuya from Monstress!
Maika and Tuya were in a relationship at the start of Monstress. While not specified, they are likely both lesbians, as neither has shown interest in men.
(Note Monstress is for mature readers)
The 2nd queer comic character of the day is dimension-traveling America Chavez aka Miss America from Marvel, who is a lesbian!
She was introduced in Vengeance, then joined the Young Avengers (2013) and got a solo with America (2017).
The following is a google spreadsheet that will be updated with every post. That way, if you ever want to look back for recs or see everything from a month, you can!

The queer comic character of the day is Natasha Irons / Steel from DC! She is a lesbian!
She debuted in Steel (1994) and came out in Superwoman (2016). More recently, she was also in Steelworks and Green Lantern: War Journal.

The 2nd queer comic character of the day is David Alleyne aka Prodigy from Marvel! He is bisexual.
He debuted in New Mutants (2003) and came out in Young Avengers (2013). He previously dated Tommy Shepherd aka Speed, but in NYX began dating Dante.
To celebrate Pride Month, we're hosting LGBTQIA+ reading challenges and more! To kick it off, comics writer Steve Orlando (Midnighter, Scarlet Witch) shares his personal experiences and thoughts on queer representation and what Pride means to him. https://t.co/KeC1J44lw8
The queer comic character of the day is Sojourner "Jo" Mullein aka Green Lantern from DC, who is bisexual! She stars in Far Sector, which has an epilogue in DC Power 2024.
Once in a while, like this first week, more than one character will get posted, because why not? So there will be at least one more character later today :D

faq ; You’re welcome to submit full runs or creatives (with recs)! The mod is not familiar with Transformers at all so submitting specific runs with an explanation would be helpful!
Submissions are also OPEN. You can submit characters/runs/creatives for any month, but it will be held for the appropriate month. Queer characters etc are the focus for June.
