@GameSpot Agree, MMOs have been stagnant for a while. Hot take, or maybe not, but EverQuest Next was on the right track with emergent AI, but Daybreak was a lost cause and the tech wasn't there yet.
@LilithLovett Yeah, out of all the things people could complain about, this is stupid. You play her, so of course you're gonna lay people out. Also, from the promotional material, she's a trained fighter, so this isn't some impossible feat
@Delta1169 Makes you wonder how many companies like theirs that were laid off or cut ties did the same thing.
Given freedom and cash, and either sat on their ass for years or wasted it making random modern audience games
@SMGold_ Yeah not sure why they think cuck, wanting to do anything for your partner is pretty normal.
Now, if people want to talk about how bland he feels and how they got that couple dynamic wrong, then sure.
@shinobi602 People are asking for more hours of a story they will never finish.
The majority never finished BG3, The Witcher, or Cyberpunk 2077. Yet say this is too short?
@G27Status This is how I feel. I'd rather have a solid 20hr game.
People complain, but the majority don't even complete these long RPG titles.
A good example is BG3, an amazing game, but the majority never completed it, probably because it was 70 hours long
@ReviewsPossum Truth. The composer who wrote the original Halo soundtracks was recently banned from attending an event because some people would have felt "threatened/unsafe" if he had been there, as he had expressed some right-wing views.
@BlueJayvideos This. People might not want to believe it, but roughly 70% of players across all platforms never completed the main story of GTA 5. The most engagement was online. Can search it, Grok it, but it's the facts.
@gtasix_ Tbh, wouldn't be surprised if it took a year. With all the launch delays, layoffs, etc, online was probably pushed back. Which I don't think will be a good thing overall. People might not admit it, but most care more about online than the main game. GTA 5 proved that
@ALV550@gtasix_ True, but the fact that they're giving such a broad timeline gives the impression that it's nowhere near ready or that there's no real plan. I'm assuming, but if it were, they would be singing it from the rooftops, using the current hype, but they gave a super safe answer.
@13vRJ@Orthocoma25@voiddmp4 He never said it would fail and said people shouldn't be crashing out over the game when we barely know anything about it. Play the game and see. Which is a very reasonable take
@thatgirlgatto Also, it seems that because they waited a decade to play this game, served up their firstborn to the gods, and you didn't, you're not a gamer. Feels like there's some other deep-seated issue here π€£
