You don't have to be a boss to be a leader. If age is only a number, then a title is only a name. How do you lead or how have you experienced leadership from those without a leadership title? #liveitlearnit#TuesdayTweetswithDrT#comm4u2day
What's the top trait or skill you want those in leadership positions in your life to have and why? Is it challenging to only select one? #liveitlearnit
Encouragement is value driven & isn't challenging to cultivate. Sinek says, "Invest in relationships. Life is hard. None of us has the strength to do it alone. We need people to encourage & inspire us so we can encourage & inspire others." Your thoughts? #TuesdayTweetswithDrT
@CrisLaferty@diligentpays I do know many organizations that penalize employees at a certain number of accrued PTO hours and won't let them build more before they use some of what they have saved.
Whether at work or as a student, burnout can take a toll. What do you think about the ideas in this article regarding burnout? #TuesdayTweets#liveitlearnit
@CrisLaferty@diligentpays Agreed. It's interesting how some people purposefully choose not to use their PTO (paid time off). There are numerous reasons for this, however, if it was a requirement this would help. I have never worked for a company that required time off.
@MahoganyV4_ It does show the various dimensions clearly. At the core of working through this is self-care as you've pulled and expressed from the article. Good points and ideas
@HeatherOgg1481 It's alarming to consider the ramifications of unchecked stress and burnout. When people who are past their stress limit begin to experience health issues associated with burnout, they may not even realize the root cause.
@astewartcsit Glad you found the article helpful. Understanding burnout can be helpful to employees and leadership teams to find the best solutions for personal and professional health.
@diligentpays Very true. The concept of work/life balance is good to help address burnout yet the reality of finding this balance can be very challenging for many.
@osariemenojo I'm glad you found the article useful. You shared such a great point about delegation and making sure actions to prevent burnout are tangible and part of a long term plan.
@JesseAkinwande Yes, it's so important to be honest with yourself and others. We must be able to authentically assess where we are and take care of ourselves.
