My man came home from work and immediately asked if I watched the new Love Island episode and when I said not yet he said “YIPPEEE”. I have turned him into a Love Island stan.
Picture this: you’re having a full blown meltdown on your back patio, smoking a cigarette to calm the nerves. Then out of nowhere, you feel something hit you. You look up, only to see a crows ass. You were shit on by a crow at your lowest point.
“Let me ask my partner” is actually deeply healthy in many scenarios and shows that the person values the input of their significant other. Y’all just don’t want to consider someone else and think being hyper independent and “you don’t own me!!!” Leads to a successful PARTNERship. Yes it’s dumb and can be controlling when it comes things like outfits or something. But if you aren’t ready to genuinely consider someone else’s feelings and input on an activity or event or whatever that realistically will impact you both, you aren’t ready for an adult partnership.
The older you get, the more you realize it's not about who stays the longest, it's about who makes you feel seen, heard, understood, appreciated, supported and loved.
You deserve a calm love with someone who's your safe space, your best friend, and brings peace to your soul during stressful situations. You deserve a gentle love with someone who’s good for your mental health and nervous system.
