Good morning! Good evening! Good afternoon! And a very Merry Christmas to all of you from my flock to yours. This one... well, for those that know... know how I am with my handy dandy soap box. -points at soap box- This is an important one, and I apologize in advance that it's not all bright, sparkly and cheery. But it is important.

The holiday season through November and December is very frequently the hardest for a lot of people. No matter what your holidays look like, no matter which you celebrate, if at all, I want you to know that you are never alone. I know sometimes (or a lot of times), it might feel that way, but I promise you that you aren't alone. And I'm not standing up here to preach to you, what instead I'm suggesting is that me, and Santa have been peeking in some of your windows. You really should get up and take a shower, oh... and you.. yeah.. you over there... we can't believe you did that last night, how'd you get that distance on it?! But seriously, you're never alone. Whether you have a large and loving family to spend the holiday with, or you're sitting in a shitty apartment by yourself, you do and always will have a family here with me. Shower. Brush your teeth. Fix your hair. Take care of yourself today. YES, even if you're staying home! Do it! FIX YOUR HAIR! Also, you look fantastic. We love you and we're proud of you.

Also, to my first responder family members here that are working tonight. May you stay one step ahead of the reaper. Your hands be skilled. Your voices be tender. Yours minds be quick. And your travels be safe. And most of all, may you have a quiet shift. CAN I GET AN AMEN in replies from the first responders (that aren't working tonight... the rest of them are mad at me right now)!

In other news, as a new tradition that we're starting this year. Some of you know, my childhood wasn't always the best. I am.... all too familiar... with domestic violence personally - I won't share stories that aren't mine to share but I witnessed spousal abuse, and I was abused as well for over a decade that I can remember, and in my adult life I've been the target of partner abuse there as well. Sadly, I know too many people that have experienced it too. So, starting this year as a Christmas tradition, we will - as a community - be donating to organizations that work to rescue and help domestic violence victims/survivors. I'm not taking money directly for this, for now, we'll set it up through a Twitch Charity, so that it goes directly to the organization and we don't lose any money through paypal fees, etc. shifting it back and forth. I'll be picking one today, and setting it on the Twitch page.

With that. If you are one of our family members that is currently going through that. We love you. Please. PLEASE. Find a way to safely contact the authorities, or a shelter as close to you as possible and get yourself out of that situation. I KNOW ITS DIFFICULT. I KNOW! I know how trapped you can feel. YOU ARE WORTH FIGHTING FOR. Please. Reach out CAREFULLY to get yourself the help that YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTH. PLEASE don't give up. Please reach out to someone. And fight. I know these days my reach on X is relatively small, but if you've read this and support this message, please find a way to show others. I'm not farming for impressions on X, but this a message that needs to get out there. People being subjected to this abuse need to know they aren't alone. If it's you, YOU ARE WORTH IT. If it's someone you know IT IS YOUR BUSINESS. Find a way, whether putting out your own message or comment/sharing mine to let our brothers and sisters going through this know that they are not alone, and we love and support them.

Sorry, not sorry, for the less than sparkly message today of all days. But let's be honest. Life isn't always sparkly, and there are many of us that don't currently see the shine or sparkle in things. And I needed to make sure you, if that's you, knew that today of all days. You aren't alone. We love you guys. I do hope and pray that your days are filled with laugher and joy (and a quiet shift). And remember, good, bad or otherwise. We're here for you.
