This argument is misleading. Abolitionists aren't in favor of 13 yr olds becoming mothers. If a 13 yr old is pregnant, she's ALREADY a mother. We would rather her continuing being a mother instead of becoming a murderer. The 13 yr old needs help to raise not murder her child.

Fellow GenX here. The only thing the pro-life language has done is teach women it's not their fault if they murder their unborn. Why would they care to stop if you tell them they won't be penalized for it?

Years ago I met a gay man who’d been pastoring for 25+ years.

He grew up in fundamentalism, went to Bob Jones university, and has experienced more hate from fellow Christians than I can imagine.

When I asked how he has faithfully persevered through it all, he replied:

@EnglandCai40400 I figured you were referring to ectopic pregnancies. Although medical technology hasn't been able to successfully re-implant them, you still would remove them with the intent to save them. China has had some unsubstantiated success in this area.

@Absrev The unborn are dependent on their mothers to feed them while developing in the womb. Newborns are dependent on their mothers (or another human) to feed them and care for them or they will die.

@Absrev Yes, the unborn child is dependent on their mother as are newborns. Newborns are totally dependent on someone to care for them. And we're not speaking about making a baby against your will. The whole conversation is about what to do AFTER the human exists inside their mother.
