you can talk about the late game botch, but Dan Quinn screwed up the game for the Commanders well before that
first half, Quinn went 22% man coverage & 50% 2-high (#5 highest)
held Jameis Winston 4.5 YPA, 44% comp & -0.58 EPA/att
it worked
but in the second half, despite losing, the Giants went WAY more heavy personnel, dropping 11 personnel from 43% to 25%
...but they passed out of it (of course they would, they were down 2 TDs)
but Quinn matched personnel & played 43% man coverage (#5 highest) & 18% 2-high
Jameis vs more favorable coverages in the second half?
+0.67 EPA/att (#4)
68% success (#1)
3:0 TD:INT (#1)
10.7% TD rate (#2)
Quinn was massively outcoached by Matt Nagy in the second half
@TheElJefe49 Yeah I get it. Personally since it wouldn’t have been 3rd down and it was raining I’d want a little more time in case of a botched snap rather than worrying the giants get in field goal range from their own 25 in 18 seconds
The most critical/important play of the 4th quarter was Isaiah Likely's TD. Never in my life have I seen the most important player on an opposing team's offense get 13 free yards!! On a 4th and 7!! Never in my life bruh, I swear.
In the pouring rain with multiple misses that day they should have been more interested in making sure they could kick it again if the snap or hold was botched than whether the giants were gonna go 40 yards in 18 seconds after our guy missed a chip shot.
For those wondering why they didn't just kick it when they got it to the Giant 25 with 40+ seconds left, it's because you want the kick to be the last play of OT in the event the kick is missed. Don't want the Giants to get another chance after a missed FG.
The division is wide open. The eagles basically surrendered. The cowboys decided to regress. The Giants have wins against garbage and are rolling with a backup QB for the season and play us at home with a chance to resurrect our entire season with 5 returning, Giants by 20.
Bad teams blow 14 point 4th quarter leads to division rivals at home against a backup.
Bad teams put Mikey on nabors EVER.
Incompetent teams don’t know they used their time outs. @commanders
