•Cost of Living: CA is one of the most expensive states (index ~142, #2 or #3 worst). Southern states crush it here — Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas are among the cheapest. Housing in CA is brutal; median homes often 3-5x higher adjusted for income.
•Affordability/Opportunity: CA ranks near the bottom in many “best to live” lists (WalletHub has it ~32nd-50th in affordability categories). Red states like those you mentioned dominate low cost of living.50

Data > slogans. California is suffering from decades of the same governance you defend. Move to one of those Southern states if you love the rankings so much.

She couldn’t explain her $7 million-dollar windfall from the stock market in one year.

Yet, the people of NJ voted for and elected her.

After Illinois passed a budget full of spending cuts and new tax hikes, the governor blamed President Trump for the state’s fiscal problems — pointing to $500 million in lost revenue from Trump’s “incomprehensible tariff policies” and a “Trump slump.”
He literally said Illinois “would not have suffered this problem” without it.
Meanwhile, Illinois has been drowning in structural deficits, massively underfunded pensions, high taxes, and businesses/people leaving for years — all issues controlled in Springfield under Pritzker and Democrats.
He’s used the same move on rising gas prices, blaming a Trump “war of choice.”
