@MrMcEnaney No way ELC could be nationalised, 32 different local authorities with many ready to collapse! Private nurseries are best value and care for the majority of under 3’s! Don’t it fairly and LAs cut cloth accordingly…simple solution!

Every PVI provider in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 must push their LA to commit to handing over EVERY PENNY of the £16m intended for US to help uplift wages to at least £12 ph. If this doesn’t happen then we ALL must REFUSE to pass the cost on to our 0-3 families, therefore, REFUSE comply @NatalieDon_

@MrMcEnaney Meanwhile many private, voluntary and independent nurseries have not had an increase in funding since 22/23. Workforce are now getting pause 30-50% less than their LA colleagues. All the while RLW increased avg 10% each year.

If there is no money 2 allow this then unless u allow us 2 top up, we can’t compete, balance our books or get involved in the expansion. U say u need the pvi u need to prove it by ur actions

Our children deserve a quality workforce, how can we retain them? They r paying support workers more than we are funded for practitioners

Where has the funding for the 35k other places gone?Not to the pvi for sure. Pvi deliver 30% of places some significantly more so where’s the money gone? £195m spent on pvi c£6ph for pvi. LA £12.10 ph=over 2x funding
