Actually, you have a responsibility to your female constituents to fully support it. Yjis is because it is a code of conduct specifically written to assist in the effective implementation of settled law.

The Code will do no such thing. This statement is either a deliberate lie or a further example of legislative incompetence. Both explanations are probably in play here.

Trans people are not ‘excluded’ from any services. They are specifically included in all services provided based on their birth sex. There isn’t a single-sex service that trans people are excluded from.

If a trans individual has previously used services designated for the opposite sex, they have done so in contravention of the law, in which single-sex services have always been segregated by reference to biological sex. It is the responsibility of the trans individuals concerned, and those who have been advising them erroneously; if they have been acting unlawfully.

It is false to claim that these historical abuses of single-sex spaces has passed ‘without issue’. There are countless examples of detriment to women and girls and a long history of trans infiltration being challenged.

There is no evidence that using correct-sex facilities will make trans individuals more likely to be the victims of violence.

Trans individuals will not be ‘pushed out of public life’ as they have the right to access public facilities appropriate to their sex.

This is another lie. Any ‘segregation’ that occurs is a) the result of the proper interpretation of the Equality Act and b) based on the material reality of sex. It only requires any ‘enforcement’ due to the insistence of, in particular, trans identifying men that they are entitled to ignore the law, transgress women’s boundaries and infiltrate female spaves for the purpose of validating their identities and exercising their fetishes.\

This is also a lie. No ‘rights’ have been ‘rolled back’. The Code implements the law as clarified in the For Women Scotland Case, which found that it has ALWAYS been the law that single-sex spaces are segregated by biological sex, meaning that it has never been a ‘right’ for a male person (whatever his ‘identity’) to invae and colonise female spaces.

If you have a sexual fetish and you cannot keep it within your private, personal realm but have to broadcast it or perform it in public and consequently compel others to participate in it unwillingly, then you are not ‘the good guy’. The premise in your opening sentence is arrant nonsense (as well as grammatically incorrect - the word is ‘fewer’ not ‘less’). What is more, the issue isn’t one about ‘transition’ or ‘acceptance of trans ideology’ but the performance of a fetish in public with the non-consenting population. I for one (and I will not be alone) don’t give a rat’s arse whether a particular AGP either does or does not endorse gender identity ideology. If they don’t, that’s great - they can do so whilst not wanking in the women’s toilet dressed as their imagined idea of a sexy woman. If they do endorse it. then that’s just another piece of poor judgment.

People need to understand that trans ideology is not a matter of anything as trivial as a "cultural war." On the contrary, it is a very real effort to destroy women as a sex class and to establish that a woman is nothing more than a collection of regressive stereotypes. Correct. Left-handed people were harmed because society treated a natural trait as something that needed social, physical and medical correction, largely because of superstition and negative stereotypes around left-handedness.

But the solution was not to redefine left-handed people as right-handed.

It was not to change the meaning of left and right, socially or legally affirm left-handed people as “right-handed,” suggest they could be "cured" by handedness-affirming surgical interventions, or force everyone else to describe them as right-handed, even when they can clearly see which hand they prefer.

The solution was to stop pathologizing left-handedness.

That is the lesson.

Being left-handed is not a physical, moral, or psychological human defect. It is a normal human variation. It is a description of dimorphic human physiology.

Likewise, being a gender-nonconforming male or female person is not a defect. Sex is normal human variation. It is a description of dimorphic human physiology. Our sex is not a physical, moral, or psychological human defect. It is not a problem. It does not need your "solution."

A person being gender nonconforming does not mean a person's sex is a mismatch with their "gender". Sex and gender are different. They don't have to match and they often don't. That does not prove sex is wrong, it proves that gender is socially constructed and not an essential human trait.

Gender nonconformity does not indicate a person's "gender identity" is mismatched with their sex. It does not mean their pubescent state is a mismatch with their aspirational gender presentation. It does not mean language must be rewritten so it matches with the belief that a human can be mismatched with their own body. It does not mean material reality disappears and true believers don't have to experience the cognitive dissonance inherent in their beliefs. Changing the meaning of words does not change the physical reality the words describe.

The problem is not gender nonconformity. The problem is not sex. The problem is not gender. Just like with left-handedness, the problem is that there is no problem. The problem is the people who treat it like a peoblem.

The actual problem is the solutions imposed on everyone for a problem that only exists because of people pathologizing and problematizing normal human variation. And, the problem is made worse by people who profit and politic by pathologizing normal human variation with unnecessary, intrusive, and dangerously stupid, abusive and evil medical, psychological interventions. And, it becomes everyone's problem when social and legal policy that rests on a foundation of pathologizing normal human variation.

The actual problem is treating a human's sex as a mistake to be socially, legally, psychologically, or medically corrected. Tha actual problem is telling someone theybwere born wrong because they do not fit their internalized stereotypes about masculinity or femininity. The problem is forcing others to believe that a person's sex can be defined as socially, legally, psychologically or medically "wrong".

Your analogy identifies the problem correctly. Unfortunately your analogy also points out nicely that the solutions you think are justified are only justifiable to sociopaths, and those with no scruples or sense.

I joined this site in 2023 because I was exhausted by the endless, reality-defying rhetoric around trans ideology elsewhere.

At that time - just 2.5 short years ago - the accepted TRA wisdom was that transwomen aren't female but they are women.

Then they started shifting to transwomen being 'female' like any other woman.

Now they've shifted to the entire concept of 'biological woman' being made up.

Ironically, this is the most accurate they've ever been.

"Woman" already pointed to a biological reality.

The idea of a 'biological woman' was a tautological attempt at compromise. A way to carve out a tiny sliver of womanhood that only women can occupy - so that we can have rape crisis centres or domestic abuse shelters or sports of our own.

And now that is apparently bigotry.

They really are the kings of 'give them an inch and they'll take a mile'.
