This morning, at 9:30, the House Education Committee will hear a presentation from our FLDOE explaining why privatizing public education is a good idea. You can watch on https://t.co/c2fk6Y6G6d ICYMI #SchoolChoice is a euphemism for #privatization

.@jane_jrobbins & @libertydocKaren write that instead of improving classroom achievement & helping students reach their highest potential, ‘SEL’ doubles down on failed education fads of the past. https://t.co/MS4rGft1Ik Read their report here: https://t.co/uYa7qh6yPb #edreform

Good morning, @richardcorcoran. Since you liked this tweet on my thread, could you please answer my and @FLBaloney’s question? What is the reasoning/rationale behind your plan to leave 600,000 students in the public schools? Why that number?
We look forward to your answer.
.@kellistargel will close on the bill. Claims she is "not a blind ideologue"... but she believes charters are public & doesn't want to allow local voters to control the distribution of local funds... wants local communities to fund charters equally (whether they like it or not).
.@FarmerForFLSen "we are being forced to take this language, it is not what we wanted, we voted twice." Believes this should be local decision, now "we're putting our thumb on the scale." #SB7123 usurping the will of the voter.
Another late filed amendment that will be voted on tonight. A 32 page amendment on a bill. Getting tired of reading these amendments. And YES I am reading them
Once again, the @FLLegislature moves to take away local control by taking away referendum money & giving it to for profit charter schools. If voters choose to give their PUBLIC schools teachers a raise, the legis shouldn't determine that this money should be shared with charters.
@fineout@TomLeeFL Says @TomLeeFL "Charter School industry moves the post every year and now they want referendum money. This is a bridge too far. I am not doing it this year. I am voting no. I am not confused."
