Law enforcement officers have, a while ago, arrested Mr HANAN ABDUL-WAHAB ALUDIBA at the Accra International Airport.
MR ALUDIBA, who is currently standing trial for stealing and causing financial loss to the Republic, was granted leave by the trial High Court to travel to the UK for a few days.
It was, however, MR ALUDIBA’s attempt to use false means to empty his frozen bank account with Republic Bank on Thursday which occasioned tonight’s arrest.
The learned Attorney-General will, on Monday, seek a review of the court order which granted MR ALUDIBA leave to travel out of the country.
Following the ECOWAS Court’s judgement last week, the Supreme Court, too, has dismissed each of the 4 cases challenging Her Ladyship’s removal from the office of the Chief Justice. The Supreme Court decided the cases earlier this morning.
Gratitude to our team of State Attorneys and members of staff.

A father's pride: Razak Pimpong and son Malik Razak Engholm Pimpong during the signing and medical of the 18 year old after he joined Eintracht Frankfurt

I may not understand every language being spoken, but after watching several of the videos, the truth is clear: this tragedy was not caused by nature alone.
The devastation is heartbreaking for our country, especially for those directly affected by this disaster in Ghana. While natural factors played a role, human negligence made the situation worse.
Not everyone affected by the flood acted carelessly by dumping rubbish anywhere. But the reckless actions of a few have brought pain, loss, and hardship to many others. What do we gain by turning away from our responsibility and throwing waste wherever we please? Nothing but blocked drains, filthy streets, flooded homes, and deeper suffering for our communities.
This is not a burden for the government alone. It is a duty we all share. It is time to revive the old town council system once practiced in our communities. It promoted discipline and encouraged proper waste disposal because people knew there were consequences for irresponsible actions. If we want cleaner communities, safer homes, and fewer tragedies, then we must act now by taking responsibility, enforcing discipline, and refusing to let negligence claim more lives or leave more families in mourning.
Finally, let us all support those affected in any way we can. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference. Let us extend a helping hand to those in our communities who have lost so much. Together, we can help restore hope, ease their burden, and bring smiles back to their faces.
The most interesting subject I have seen people explored about this flooding issue is ‘move the capital from Accra’.
You guys are university graduates, sometimes dig deep into your analytical process.
@Bridget_Otoo Students who act like this are mostly caretakers or are very close to these hostel owners, he is just protecting his interest. If you go inside he is paying less or nothing so he doesn't care about his fellow students paying outrageous amounts.
Ghanaian entrepreneur and influencer Naa Adjeley Shuga shared a personal account explaining why she believes the recent flooding in Tse Addo was inevitable.
“ As a child who grew up in La, i followed my grandfather a lot to his farm, he had an okro farm, tomato farm, maize and watermelon farms. The farmland had multiple streams and the areas were mostly waterlogged.
We used to call this farm areas "Tradefair See" (behind the Trade fair) because of the famous Ghana International Trade Fair building which has now been demolished, there was the beautiful African Lake and the Kpeshie which extended deep into the farms.
Before we knew it these farm areas were being cleared and some of our people from La moved to stay there, then the name Tse Addo came up (from what we were told it's a name of one of the first few people who moved there "Addo"). The place became a whole new area on its own and our grandparents sold most part of it.
Eventually the beautiful streams got filled, a part of the African lake got filled and the Kpeshie as well got filled. I was just telling the hairdresser that with time these water bodies will find their ways back, because there's no way we can win this battle with nature.
Most of the people who built around these areas never stayed there, they rented them out and left tenants to their fate. Some are also there but have made sure they reserve their ground and first floors for such heavy rains so those parts of their homes are empty.”
