This is fantastic news for our members across all sectors, and a landmark moment for working people across the UK.
Unions campaigned for and helped shape this legislation, and our Labour government is delivering it.
BREAKING: Labour's landmark Employment Rights Bill has PASSED both Houses of Parliament.
The new rights in this Bill will be transformational, putting power back into the hands of working people.
This is a massive step forward in delivering Labour's New Deal for Working People - passed by a Labour Government, delivered with the labour movement.
Time to celebrate 🎉
I am delighted the Lords have passed the Employment Rights Bill - a historic moment that will make working life fairer, more secure and better for millions of people across the UK.
This is no longer about only workers' rights - it's also about our democracy.
Labour campaigned on the New Deal, the public voted for it - now unelected Lords are blocking it.
Enough is enough, no more political games - the House of Lords need to get out of the way and pass the Bill before Christmas #stoptheblock

Even at this late stage, opposition Lords are STILL voting to water down key measures in the Employment Rights Bill - risking delaying key new rights like access to Statutory Sick Pay from Day One.
It can't go on like this. The Lords must get out of the way and let the Bill pass, so we can deliver the new rights working people desperately need.

We are determined to deliver our Employment Rights Bill - Tory peers in the House of Lords need to let us get on with the job and honour the mandate we were elected on: to Make Work Pay.
Labour is committed to supporting working families across the UK.
It's fantastic to see Bridget taking on the unfair two-child-benefit cap introduced by the Tories.
Community is proud to have backed @bphillipsonMP for deputy Leader of the Labour Party.

So proud to have the backing of @CommunityUnion to be Labour’s Deputy Leader.
This campaign isn't about contesting the past - it's about shaping the future.
Together we can deliver the change voters want to see and secure a second Labour term.

I was delighted to hear @jreynoldsMP praise the steelworkers, and describe our site as a national asset.

NEW: Labour has secured a deal with the US which will save thousands of jobs and benefit British workers, families, and firms.
We promised to protect British car makers and save our steel. This deal delivers on that promise.

We strongly welcome @Keir_Starmer’s announcement to raise defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027 – a much-needed investment in our security.
The PM is right: a strong industrial base is key to our security and economic growth.
Steel must be at the heart of this revival.
Honoured to have been selected to stand again - as candidate in the new proposed Renfrewshire West and Levern Valley constituency next year. My home and our community ❤️
