For the 14th consecutive year, the Montgomery County Historical Commission has been honored with the Texas Historical Commission’s 2025 Distinguished Service Award. The annual award recognizes the devoted efforts of the 37 volunteers.

Through the generosity of the https://t.co/DXQjONpUyp, the Magnolia Youth Sports Complex softball fields had 6 new trees planted. 4 live oaks and 2 magnolia.
A new batting cage, near the baseball fieldsis almost ready.
The football fields are in great shape ready for the season.

TRAFFIC ALERT for I-45 at Crosstimbers.
WHY: TxDOT will be closing I-45/North Freeway at Crosstimbers in both directions for bridge repairs.
WHEN: Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, July 10 and ending at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 11.
The closures will alternate between directions.

A possible lighting strike may be the reason for this lighted intersection having had many reported issues. Montgomery County’s skilled signals team responded by removing the damaged unit to install a new signal cabinet.

Road sign upgrades have been made along Walnut Creek and Lonesome Pine. The improved signage offers a clear message of a sharp turn with an intersecting road ahead. This allows drivers time to adjust their behavior and giving them ample time to react.

Recent headwall additions were completed off of Moore Rd and Hardin Store Rd. These stable structural supports protect the road from collapsing into the pipe ensuring that the water flow does not erode the pipe or the surrounding area.

The softball fields at the Magnolia Youth Sports Complex shine smarter for the night games due to LED lighting that has been installed. The older lights had become obsolete with the parts becoming unobtainable for maintenance.
