These are pilot whales photographed at the Porcupine Seabight (SW of Ireland) in 2013. They are deep diving specialist. They use a form of sonar to hunt. It’s also a hotspot for deep diving sperm whales.
Missile tests carried out in this area would be an ecological distaster.

@sheilaoflanagan Can be for very many reasons - many times it depends on which siblings are not working or which are living closest - I attended all my parents visits as my sister worked in the UK - I took the time off work when it was needed.

@cooper_m It’s a tale of the jabs and the jabs-not at this point - if we control inward migration into the country we should be able to open - many will head to the North either way - if we open, then people can decide what they want to do -if the numbers rise, then we pull back again.

I've being driven demented by the number of 'this is open in Europe why isn't it here' takes I'm seeing. We have one of the lowest deaths per 100k in Europe precisely because we haven't taken those risks. The exception was xmas and it doubled our total deaths.
