A few days ago, a video went viral of a schoolgirl with disabilities in both legs walking nearly two kilometers to her school.

Many people, including celebrities, raised the issue and demanded that the Gopalganj (Bihar) administration provide her with a hand-tricycle. After massive outrage and media coverage, officials finally reached the village, handed her a tricycle, and promptly uploaded pictures on social media. The DM happily took the credit (image).

Within just four days, the so-called sarkari tricycle broke down and stopped working (video).

What the hell is this? Did they give her some third-class junk or a second-hand repainted tricycle just to stage a photo-op and claim credit?

If this is the level of insincerity and negligence even in a case that went viral across the entire internet, one can only imagine the sincerity of the system in thousands of cases that never get any attention at all.

A student who commutes daily to school on a @OfficialGsrtc bus transformed his journey into a unique gift by creating a detailed miniature model of the bus and presenting it to the Rapar depot.

Irfan Anwar Mir, a 12th-grade student crafted the two-foot model complete with 52 seats, lighting, and functional doors and lights.

Robust #parkingmanagement plays a crucial role in addressing rampant traffic congestion, and pollution & the optimising utilisation of space.

#Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has drafted new parking bylaws to transform parking in the city (see attached image). In addition to that, AMC has also proposed Traffic & Parking Implementation Cell (TPIC), an elite squad which will be empowered to enforce parking rules and crack down on illegally parked cars.

𝟭. 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲: With limited land resources in urban areas, efficient parking management helps optimize the utilization of available space.

𝟮. 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 #𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Inadequate parking facilities often lead to illegal parking, double-parking, and vehicles waiting for parking spaces. These activities contribute to traffic congestion and hinder the smooth flow of vehicles.

𝟯. 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 #𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Effective parking management can encourage a shift towards sustainable transportation options. Cities can incentivize commuters to use alternative modes of transport,thereby reducing the number of private vehicles on the road and alleviating congestion.

𝟰. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 #𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Traffic congestion not only leads to time wastage and frustration but also contributes to increased air pollution and environmental degradation.

𝟱. 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀:By optimizing parking resources, cities can increase revenue from parking fees and fines which can be invested in infrastructure development, public transportation systems, and urban amenities.
