Why I Think Strix Halo/Strix Point Halo Won't End Budget Gaming GPUs:

I'm guessing all the things not working on Meteorlake here will be remedied by the Xe driver. The first release candidate probably won't be out until February at the earliest, though. Meteorlake's GPU and NPU are exclusively optimized for Windows for the time being.

This used to be true, but MacOS has become too much of a promotional tool for Apple's paid services, and you can't game on them, and Apple is slowly neutering the CLI on Macs

Ubuntu didn't play nice with the system I tried to put it on back in ~2006. Funnily enough, it was (open)SUSE(?) that supported my sound card and allowed me to listen to music while surfing the web.
