The Call For Proposals for the 3rd Innovations In Compiler Technology Workshop (@compiler_tech) is now open!
IICT-2026 will feature two tracks : Research Papers and Practice Papers. Proposals can be submitted under the form of an extended abstract (2– 4 pages), full paper (4 – 8 pages) for the Research Papers track. For the Practice Papers track, the submission can be in the form of extended abstract (1 page or more) or slides. More details on the CFP Link : https://t.co/R339Dt7DI3
The 3rd workshop on Innovations In Compiler Technology (IICT) aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts in the field of compiler technologies. The previous editions of the workshop were held in Bengaluru in September 2024 and September 2025. This edition of IICT is an iPLAN event and will be held on October 2-3, 2025 at the @iiscbangalore. More details about the workshop can be found at https://t.co/aYs6eygUkP.
IICT focuses on the cutting-edge advancements in design, implementation, and optimization of compiler techniques as well as their applications on emerging software and hardware platforms. We invite research and practice papers from academia and industry for IICT-2026. We invite presentations on all aspects of programming languages and compilers, covering the classical compiler techniques, compilers for AI/ML, Domain Specific Languages, Web3, blockchain etc.

Have you ever wondered how programming languages are designed? How compilers make code go faster? How are these things affected by AI? Which places compiler technology is used?
Innovations in Compiler Technology (@compiler_tech) is a 2 day annual workshop in which top minds from industry and academia come together to discuss the cutting edge of compilers!
IICT 2026 will be held at @iiscbangalore on the 2nd and 3rd of October. Follow @compiler_tech and sign up for updates at https://t.co/qijlVG5rq3 for more updates!

Attending the @fp_launchpad kickoff at @iitmadras! FP Launchpad aims to solve longstanding issues in Software fragility that is only being magnified in an era of AI dominated programming. Several initiatives are planned, and applications for the Post Bacchalaureate fellowship are currently open through 20th April.
Will update this thread with more details, a huge thank you to @pt_of_no_return and @kc_srk for the invite
The Innovations In Compiler Technology (IICT - @compiler_tech) workshop is back for its third edition in 2026!
IICT brings together academics, industry experts, hackers and students all under one roof to share bleeding edge developments in the space of compilers and programming languages.
If you’re new to Compiler Engineering, Compilers power a whole lot of technologies that form the backbone of critical systems : Android NDK, Postgres, Swift, Clang, Rust, Julia, Tensorflow XLA, XCode etc. All are powered by the LLVM ecosystem. On the other end, GCC powers everything from embedded systems, to the Linux kernel and tools like GDB.
The 2025 edition of IICT was held at @iiscbangalore and saw over 400 attendees. In 2025, we introduced the #segfault hackathon, the first compiler themed hackathon in India. We had 21 talks and 6 hackathon presentations across 2 days, and the event was sponsored by @nvidia, @Google, @Qualcomm, Quadric, @cdacindia and supported by @TheOfficialACM!
Last year’s talks are available on YouTube : https://t.co/kXaoblEAq8
IICT is one of the only places on earth where you can meet some of the people that build, maintain and advance the field. There’s nothing like it in the world :)
Looking forward to sharing more in the next few days!

Love the buzz that Claude has created around Compilers. I work on Compilers for a living.
If you’re curious about the kind of SOTA research going on in Compilers, we organise a conference @compiler_tech,all the talks from the 2025 edition are now on YT: https://t.co/nR4k5tHsBu
@DeepknowledgeU The llvm social Bangalore meetup (the one I run) has 3300+ people. The @compiler_tech conference has an average of 350+ attendees every year. Last year I organised a compiler themed hackathon (https://t.co/MMQas6NNL9) which had over 100 attendees. Lots of compiler stuff in BLR
*Assuming* you could copy or recover any tools, they needed a place to put them.
How do you rename /tmp to /etc…without mv?
Don’t forget; you can’t even compile code.
Remember that single Emacs session? Yeah, time to break out some raw VAX assembly.
Back-to-back weeks in Bangalore @IndiaFOSS and @compiler_tech, where I spoke about the evolution of OCaml and the wonderful work that maintainers do.

There were a lot of questions about how to contribute to the ecosystem. Here are some pointers.
I'll be presenting "Declarative IR Specification in Pliron" at @compiler_tech 2025 (https://t.co/bXnzSQbRsr).
Those interested in knowing how Rust's procedural macros can simplify defining new IR entities (Ops, Types, etc) in pliron (a Rust based extensible compiler) stay tuned.
