These two are a prime example of this. Having the Halo Legends mech armor is a cool as fuck idea, but this isn't that. It's over-designed into oblivion, especially next to the simplicity of Mark V Chief.
People are forgetting two things about the Campaign Evolved Skins.
1.) The game is 4-Player Co-Op. The skins probably partially exist for that.
2. "Don't like it, Don't buy it" doesn't work when these are aesthetic breaking cosmetics that exist in place of other, better ones.
New story details on Insomniac's ‘WOLVERINE’ game:
• The X-Men do not exist in this universe - mutants live in hiding & most of the world don’t know they exist
• Logan is part of Team X, a group who save mutants around the world
• Low-gore paths are available for people who are squeamish about blood & guts
• Mystique, Sabretooth, Jean Grey and Omega Red are in the game - with more X-Men characters under wraps

The thing that gets overlooked about Luke and what I was hoping to see in his future self is that he won by the end by following his own path. He is still a Jedi but he wasn't going to relive the failures of the old order. He knew when to stand up and do his own thing rather than just rely purely on the teachings of old.
He didn't reject his emotions or family connections, he didn't do what Yoda and Obi said he needed to do to defeat the Sith, the things they did that already failed. He was proving them wrong, that they were trapped by old failed traditions. He found a new path forward as only he could and was going to make a new Jedi order that wasn't beholden to the same restrictions and pitfalls that have plagued the order for thousands of years.
He was by far the worse Jedi to 'deconstruct' in the sequels. Especially in regards to the order because he already deconstructed it. He was a deconstruction of their ways. He believed in the strength of connections, emotions when used right, and belief in forgiveness when all others give up. He would be the ironically LAST JEDI to stand over Kylo holding a lightsaber just because he had a vision of him potentially turning bad. This man redeemed Vader, he ignored two of the strongest Jedi masters to follow his heart even if it would cost him his own life, he is not a coward who strikes in the night. It's not a 'moment of weakness' because Luke would never have walked into that cabin to even each that moment in the first place.
Fact is it's super simple why they made him the way they did and it doesn't take a 4 hour video essay to get to it. They did it because they wanted Rey to be the face of the Jedi going forward but didn't know how to create a character than can surpass what came before her. So they simply dragged what came before down a few levels to make the new stuff look better in comparison. Now she's Luke, and he's the guy clinging to the old ways, to his failures and failures of the Jedi order. Now she gets to be just as good as Luke Skywalker right? because she is him (just worse in every way because they think they can skip character development and interesting writing) and inherent everything that was his. Except you know...it doesn't work like that and you can't simply skip why people fell in love with a character by tearing them down and placing your own OC on top of them.
@Trans_Lykeia@agraybee I mean he then proceeds to cut clean through it and Vader's hand simultaneously (I know it's because the lightsaber is actually just a physical prop, but the inconsistency is funny)
Rise of Skywalker haters got mad at Palpatine coming back in Episode but had NO problem with Anakin lifting a pear in Attack of the Clones even though they are the EXACT same thing.
Truthfully, I don't think Nomura had an idea for BBS beyond vague ideas when writing og KH2 since Terra & Ventus pick up the wrong keyblades for their final characterizations/plot connections in the original secret ending.
Yep Nomura like to takes things he's set up and expand upon them later if he can. I think he had a lot of BBS in mind though by kh2fm's release so it was easier for him to set those plot threads up
