@ParkeAileen@NHSConfed This stuff is inward looking: the system + NHSE/DHSC setting the standards + reporting performance against them. NHS Constitution says the NHS belongs to the people. So more day-to-day ICS transparency pl + let us decide how we want to judge how our local ICS performs for us
The ToR for the #hewittreview talks of accountability + transparency + improving outcomes for populations (people?). Hope it considers transparency so ICBs are also accountable to the people they serve as well as to DHSC + other organisations
@UKHSA@ShaunLintern Stay Well leaflet https://t.co/iZi7ZVr0Zj not in real world. Keep warm - heard of rising energy costs? Fire safety - really? keep active - affording dancing + fitness classes. NHS talking therapies - waiting times! 12 page leaflet - £?? + who reads?
@MerronSimpson enjoyed your King's Fund presentation today. My recent blog for NHS Networks I think echoes your second main point https://t.co/RvcvHRWVwd
New enhanced access arrangements in Kanani 1/3/22 letter don’t look simple to me. How will PCNs/practices explain them so as to “improve patient understanding”? Better than now?! CO-PRODUCED plain language versions of different PCN/practice options needed from NHSE? @NikkiKF
UK Health Security Agency Cold Weather Plan: level 4 (major incident) includes make sure you have loft insulation. Loft insulators coming out mid emergency?! https://t.co/k5TT3WIjBn
@PiFonline@NHSEngland @PHE_uk @Rehab4Group Great that NHSE are trying to improve comms. But still room for improvement. In proforma letter "tell" not inform", the apology is too formulaic, "I" not "We", "about" not "regarding"... I've redrafted and also got it 50 words shorter
NHSE have apparently instructed CCGs to share very limited info about when and where C-19 vaccs happening. Why??? Result = local social media awash with people unsure and worried and with misinformation, plus GPs still getting phone queries.
@NHSEngland@nhsuhcw Super. And roll-out will take time + much effort. But why tell CCGs not to give public updates on progress? My nextdoor PCN has begun vaccinating but, as a PPG chair, I can't assure my patients we won't get left behind. Answer to uncertainty isn't we'll tell you when we're ready
@DrSarahJarvis @DrSimonHodes @KatyMcconkey@Dr_Ellie@lauradonnlee Don't doubt hard work. Don't doubt attempts to get message out. But pl talk to patients/PPGs about whether patients know and how to communicate even better
Patients need a say in future use of media instead of F2F GP appointments (“clinically compelling reasons” aside) + will have views on how to deliver autumn flu vaccination - see https://t.co/vPeybR6Lw8 @LivButt #PrimaryCareNetworks
