My Financial Journey
9 years ago, I started investing with one goal — financial freedom.
No luck, no timing — just patience and consistency.
Today, I’ve achieved FIRE with 50× my annual expenses.
Here’s my journey 👇
#FIRE#Investing#MutualFunds
@practice_garden@IndiaNewGen No one is fool. Not all are high earners who pay much in income tax. Everybody is pitching for their self and we should pitch for income tax. BTW, Benefit of LTCG is not only for tax but it will bring positivity and boost the market returns that most people are targeting.
@BaluGorade If budget permits ? How do you decide the budget. I am sure, you can even afford a Rolex. What system do you follow to decide budget for such purchases.
@ifOnlyKantala Nothing for less than 5 hours 😜. For less than 5 years, nil gratuity, though you can negotiate a bonus from the company you are switching to.
@IndiaNewGen Rightly said. Another window is before
marriage (22-30), though for many starting
salary is low. I was lucky — decent salary,
built a strong base early.
Now even if I spend everything I earn,
I'm still sorted.
That's the next level of peace.
@InvestorOfJAMMU Yes, but in parallel, you need to have other income, as this fixed amount will not keep up with inflation. By other income, FD income will come in the taxable slab, so Equity MFs are best in this case.
@BaluGorade I used to do the same, but it is taxed at 35% (though a very minor amount), so to avoid this, I now stop the SIP for that month when expenses are planned.
@investdunia1 Of course, I built more and am building even further. It's a good starting point but not enough to retire, so invest in equity to beat inflation and keep working to cover your expenses and increase this pool.
