It may look dangerous or even illegal at first, but the loco pilot is placing stones on the rail to help the locomotive gain traction and avoid wheel slip.

Normally, locomotives use sanders that automatically dispense sand onto the rails to increase friction between the wheels and the track. However, in this case, the available sand may have already been exhausted and the train was still struggling to move, leading the crew to use this improvised method to improve grip.

Note: This practice is not a standard operating procedure and is typically used only in exceptional circumstances.

All time classic from K.Viswanath, the first collaboration with Kamal Hassan, they would later do Swathimutyam and Subhasankalpam.

The story of Balu an aspiring dancer, son of a cook, who has the talent, passion, but his poverty prevents him from pursuing it. He comes across Madhavi( Jayaprada), a rich girl, who seeing the talent in Balu, decides to help him in pursuing his dream. However destiny deals a cruel blow, leading Balu to become a cynical alcoholic.

Viswanath wonderfully deals with the themes of heartbreak, destiny, in his usual sensitive manner. The climax has to be one of the most poignant ever.

While Kamal is brilliant as usual as Balu, the movie has two more great performances.

Jayaprada as Madhavi is top notch, and she looks gorgeous. Vishwanath's movies always had strong female characters, and Madhavi is one. The woman who truly understand Balu's passion, tries her best to help him, even when he has become a wreck.

The other character is Raghu, played by Sharat Babu, Balu's close friend, who stands by him throughout, even when he is on a downward slope. Sharat Babu has been one actor who always delivered in a good role, and here too the same.

Ilayaraja composes for Vishwanath the first time, and the result is an outstanding score from the romantic "Mounamelanoi" to the haunting "Vedam Anuvuna Naadam" to the divine opening song "Om Namah Sivaya", every song is a gem.

The Nizam State Rail and Road Transport Division( NSR-RTD) was founded in 1932, as a specialized division of Nizam Guaranteed State Railway, creating a fully integrated rail and Road public transport system in India for the first time.

Operations began with just 27 buses and 166 employees covering around 450 km. These buses were shipped directly from Glasgow and were called the "Deccan Queen", known for their rugged engineering.

However post integration of Hyderabad State into India, only the chassis was imported, while the bus bodies were manufactured by Allwyn Metal Works.

If one notices it, in most of the major cities and towns in erstwhile Hyderabad State, the railway station and bus stand are quite close to each other, not just in Telangana, but even in Marathwada, Northern Karnataka.

This was meant to give better access to those villages , towns in the interiors that were not connected to the Railway lines.

At 22, Abhijeet Tulshiram Patil cracked UPSC CSE 2022 in his very first attempt with AIR 470, without coaching, while still finishing his engineering degree. He even cleared prelims before getting his graduation results.

For 8 months, he studied around 8 hours every day using books, internet resources and pure consistency. No expensive coaching hubs. No shortcuts. Just self-belief and relentless routine.

Today, the young Rajasthan cadre IPS officer serves as ASP in Rajgarh Circle, Churu, and also leads Anti-Gangster Task Force operations in the area, responsibilities many don’t imagine carrying at such a young age.

Maybe the biggest takeaway from his story is this: sometimes you don’t need perfect resources, you need a clear reason to do it.
