When my cousin called Elon an "ersatz Nazi" I kinda lost it:
Why would a Nazi:
Support israel
Hire ethnically diverse teams at all his companies
Put women in leading positions
Develop a brain implant to help paralyzed and blind people - 3 paralyzed people already
Develop a plan to transition the world to sustainable energy and do more to make it happen than anyone else
Deliver Internet Access to poor rural communities around the globe
Simple questions;
Is it possible that you’re wrong about Elon?
Is it possible that the politicians and media you’ve trusted all these years have been lying to you?
If the answer to these questions are both No
Why is it that you can’t be fooled by propaganda but I can be?
You know they all lied to you about Biden’s dementia, right?
The oil companies, big auto and unions supported Biden who started attacking Tesla in 2021, if not before. Long before Elon bought X or supported Trump. Elon was an Obama supporter.
You on the same side as the people who oppose the transition to sustainable energy, and this doesn’t bother you?
The Starlink contract began before Trump took office, a fact AP accidentally revealed in its hit piece (see image)
Did you support Biden’s decision to exclude tesla from the EV summit in 2021? Did you agree with him when he said GM CEO Mary Barra led the EV revolution?
Did you really expect Elon to support Biden and the Democrats after that? To just be quiet and accept it?
His response:
"Then why take down the DEI initiatives. Why fire the black and female military leaders?
What he’s doing in the guise of helping the government is Not in the best interest of the country.
We’ll have to agree to disagree as to whether liking the man or not."
I left it with "agree to disagree"
It turns out:
USAID has hurt the U.S.
The Department of Education hasn’t improved education.
The NIH pushed vaccines to cure a virus they funded.
The Department of Defense has been on offense, starting endless wars.
The Department of Justice has been creating injustice.
Hey @elonmusk - most of us $TSLA investors and Tesla customers love our Tesla products, are eager to invest in a company changing the world and we trust you to run your company as you see fit (especially when we're working with very limited information) even when things seemingly make little sense from our perspective
The problem is most of the world does not feel the same way and decisions like laying off the entire Supercharger team (if the reports are accurate - which former employees are confirming) are met with immense confusion, leading to people deciding to hold off on buying a Tesla given the uncertainty of the future of the Supercharger network (a huge benefit of owning a Tesla)
I'm of the camp you don't need to answer for every decision you make and many of us don't need all of the answers right now, but I'm also of the camp that providing a bit of clarity in these times of shakeup can go a really long way for the majority that don't have the same level of trust in you and/or Tesla
Perhaps in the days ahead you (or another @Tesla team member) can shed some light on what's going on with the Tesla Supercharger network moving forward since we don't have another quarterly earnings call for awhile
Clearly EV adoption has slowed globally and one of the main reasons the general public gives for not wanting an EV is lack of reliable public charging. The SuC network has been the lone bright spot and with its rollout apparently slowing and perhaps even stopping, it seems to be in line with Tesla's mission to provide some clarity here 🫡
