It’s been six years and the pandemic is ongoing
Many of us haven’t had enough time and space for reflection, processing grief, and coming to terms with the new normal
If this sounds familiar, check out our new 6-week support group facilitated by a covid conscious therapist
There is no decolonization/liberty/justice without confronting the ongoing harms of the pandemic.
We must protect each other in the everyday.

"Long-COVID is a major public health concern impacting individuals of all ages..
[However, long-COVID patients] described receiving dismissive, invalidating responses from medical providers when expressing their experiences and concerns..
Participants [in this study] were left feeling unheard and unable to access further care as a result of their concerns being dismissed as solely psychological..
Our findings indicate that for some patients, seeking care for long-COVID was associated with perceived dismissal and a lack of empathy from healthcare professionals..
Several studies in our sample used the term 'gaslighting' to describe this perceived behavior from healthcare professionals. Gaslighting is defined as attempts to make an intimate partner seem or feel ‘crazy'..
It has a pervasive presence in health care.."
It's a shame.

Anyone involved in psychotherapy must read this fantastic article. For me, it was the best piece (published in the media) on relational psychotherapy in 2025. Drawing the link between Rogers & Winnicott was long overdue - @psychgeist52 does a brilliant job

Nobody understands "sometimes you've gotta do it scared" like CPTSD survivors. Trauma survivors are so used to doing things scared that we sometimes don't even remember or realize there's another way to do them. Lecturing survivors about "fear' is enormously condescending.
SARS-CoV-2 is not the sole cause of current social & behavioural dysfunction.
But it is a powerful biological accelerant that worsens existing trends by impairing cognition, emotional regulation, and judgment at population scale.
Just look around you. Look at what’s happening.
@Newrawriot you’re welcome - super excited to offer this so please don’t hesitate to reach out here or on the website with questions or if I can be of any help (I’m running the group 😃)
We built entire guidelines around blood pressure & cholesterol.
We obsess over aspirin indications & doses in celebrities.
But a virus that causes heart attacks, strokes &blood clots for years?
No cardiovascular screening or prevention.
No public guidance.
Make it make sense.
I am impressed with how many hospitals are bringing back masking. The tracking thread for it on my site is growing, and that is 1 thread I am glad to see grow. Just wish it was not because of how bad things already are.

Noticing lots of people complaining of food poisoning. Wonder if it is covid, or the aftermath of so many covid infections destroying immune systems.
This is so tragic!

I run a small business.
We're a Covid conscious company.
We:
🏠 Minimise working together (allow WFH)
🔲 Monitor CO2
🌪️ Have air filtration on timers
😷 Provide 3M Aura masks
🧪 Have LFTs (& will buy them)
💷 Provide paid sick leave for isolation/illness
It's not hard.
