.@JamesTalarico: I've passed 60 bipartisan bills through the Texas legislature. These are not nibble-around-the-edges incremental bills.
I passed the largest early childhood education bill in our state's history. I passed the first ever cap on insulin co-pays in our state. I passed a major reform to our justice system allowing incarcerated minors to earn a high school diploma. These are major bills that are making a real impact on Texans.
I have no problem going toe to toe when I need to. But then the next day we may find a piece of common ground that we can actually get something done on.
We're told that it's a choice between people who fight and people who get things done. I think the people of Texas deserve a senator who can do both — and I've shown in the statehouse that I can do both.
Tomorrow, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court will consider a proposal that would reduce the number of Election Day polling locations from 316 to 176, a roughly 45% reduction.
County leaders say it's about saving money.
The problem isn't that they don't have money — it's what they've chosen to spend it on. The county has paid millions in jail-related lawsuit payouts and hundreds of thousands defending gerrymandered maps. Now they're telling voters they can't afford to keep polling places open.
Protecting the right to vote should never be treated as an expendable line item.
Keep the polls open.
@son_of_uki I mean, this movie shows how important rebuilding the Air Nomads was to him. It's implied, in my opinion, that he kept having children until he had an Airbender. Like a king trying to have an heir. Aang being a complicated and nuanced character is a good thing, actually
We're months into the AI-caused RAM crisis, and it just seems that AI is just making gaming worse and more expensive. And it doesn't seem like gamers are really getting anything out of the deal. https://t.co/7o1TJBGCpM
@TmillsTF Most players aren't pro - so maybe y'all should be advocating for special esports rules instead. Because the rest of us platinum 1 and down have no problem countering invis lol
EA’s CEO got an $8 million raise thanks to how well Battlefield 6 performed — four months after the devs responsible for making the game got laid off. https://t.co/KZKhVBOL6O
Having a guy who was in the biggest film series of all time and got paid jack shit for it is lowkey the guy you want in charge of making sure actors get a fair deal
@aidanlising This looks great and I'm excited to read the book. But the book came out 2 years after Blade Runner and 16 years after Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. I'd argue Ridley Scott and Syd Mead birthed the cyberpunk genre with blade runner's design
