Today Soapbox went to Melton Station Square to meet @GWattMelton to find out what issues he was campaigning on & to discuss the multitude of concerns we have that are NOT being listened to. We agree that Melton needs to change direction. And fast! #AusPol2022 #Elections2022

Mend It is going live on Facebook today at 3 pm AEDT to chat about community repair and answer any questions. It's an activity we decided to do for Clean Up Australia Day from #melton #Melbourne #CleanUpAustraliaDay @McghieMp @coms3337 https://t.co/BPkh7p0uWl #voicesforrepair

[Melton Soapbox: Residents for Transparency &Change @coms3337]

Our interview with @SBS
gets translated into Hindi. We live in a municipality with an established Indian community and we will share this broadcast with it via Facebook. https://t.co/fO0PU95jQY #Hindi #hindinews Also @WIONews did a piece on #RightToRepair https://t.co/TKGeC7TEIp

@VicOmbudsman Shared to @meltonsoapbox on Facebook. Still waiting to find out if the 1.6 million will be returned to ratepayers following the Ombudsman's investigation. Asking but no answer, yet. #meltoncouncil @ShaunLeaneMP

As a former nurse who gladly left the profession. @Ahpra is there a valid reason other than annoying red tape & bureaucracy for this hold up? The country is crying out for nurses as tens of thousands leave nursing. Do you job & re-register nurses pronto. https://t.co/QMudgPRol8

[Melton Soapbox: Residents for Transparency &Change @coms3337]

Melton's local government culture does not reflect the type of culture we need as retired and engaged seniors going forward. So we will be participating in discussions via this project. https://t.co/V3GoxRKOhW @ShaunLeaneMP #localgovernment #meltoncouncil #culture #Governance

[Melton Soapbox: Residents for Transparency &Change @coms3337]

@MendItAussie of Melton spent 2021 contributing two submissions to and attending three hearings for the Productivity Commission's right to repair inquiry. https://t.co/PeEcgzx5Zu #AURightToRepair #RightToRepair #repair

[Sonja Terpstra MP 🐓 @TerpsMLC]

Job done! Bill passed and will be returned to the Assembly with amendment. #PassTheBill

Music that's making recycling cool and circular. Recycling School of Rock! We have put in a request for a repair music clip. Fingers crossed. https://t.co/XDZcUcoSuF @NWRIC1 @WMRRAus @nswcircular @ACOR11 @shmigel @revolverecycle @VoteSustainVIC @SustainVic @ReverseGarbage

[Melton Soapbox: Residents for Transparency &Change @coms3337]

Well said @McghieMp. The VIC govt has surprised us with this Bill. It's proof that the #circulareconomy is starting to be understood & that recycling is no longer enough. Now for Council to initiate reuse & repair programs. And Repair Sheds @TerpsMLC! https://t.co/3cUfJuDNYW

‘‘It’s getting this balance right between regulation and restriction to protect the community and not excessively infringing on the rights and the wellbeing of a certain group of people.’’ https://t.co/Eq9uThvRsv @JulieLeask

[Melton Soapbox: Residents for Transparency &Change @coms3337]

‘‘I sold this because I NEED THE MONEY,’’ he says. ‘‘No bullshit. Two years I don’t do nothing [because of the lockdowns], the bank account come overdraft, boom. I don’t want to have a scandal. The name is too big to have the scandal.’’

After @Apple's announcement, this has been upstaged big time by our local member @McghieMp. During the waste crisis, we attended a meeting with him with our cane basket filled with electronics & electrical items promoting reuse & repair, & #RightToRepair. @TerpsMLC @SustainVic

[Melton Soapbox: Residents for Transparency &Change @coms3337]

@drawmum @PRGuy17 @TerpsMLC @McghieMp @VicOmbudsman's response is worth noting and considering. She's the voice of reason and scrutiny, in our opinion. https://t.co/SnTymamxhJ

There will be no density limits.

No capacity limits.

No restrictions on how many people can visit you at home.

No masks in most places.

And if you want to celebrate - you can hit the dance floor too.
