@ClemsonFB and @HokiesFB pulled the primetime @espn slot tonight for a battle in @theACC
Clemson is CSR #41 based on resume to this point and could offset their loss to undefeated Miami and the SEC's LSU with another win
VT's resume would obviously improve thanks to a win over Clemson. It would be the most impactful win to their resume thanks to an ACC win and the combo of Clemson's wins. Currently, the win most impactful to their resume is their dub over Boston College.

I was catching heat earlier in the year when I said Oklahoma State was overrated. At 4-2, I'm not hearing that as much now.
They're still in the Big 12 race, though, and face Colorado here on @FS1
In the CSR, they'd get credit for another Big 12 win, as well as opponent win credit for CU's ACC dub over Georgia Tech.

Boise State sits at #26 in the Common Sense Rankings. They're playing Washington State on @USANetwork here at 6p ET.
The Pac-12 was tied for the best G6 conference in out of conference play this season, providing teams with a Pac-12 win with the same amount of credit as the Sun Belt and American.
The benefits the Broncos, even when their Pac-12 opponent is 1-6. Boise would get a Pac-12 win, but no opponent win points since Wazzu has no FBS wins.
See how the formula works at https://t.co/aY3MDRLCkl
The Mtn West has two H2H winning records over other conferences, putting them 8/10 in the CSR conference rankings.
San Jose State would get a Mtn West win added to their resume as well as credit for Nevada's two wins to this point
USC would get a resume boost due to their win over San Jose State in Week 0.

@RaginCajunsFB have started hot this season, sitting at 5-2. They're #40 in the CSR through last night.
The Sun Belt impressed out of conference, putting each Sun Belt win as equal to the American and Pac-12. Every Louisiana conference win should see them improve in the CSR.
Their outstanding play continues to benefit @USC_Athletics too thanks to the Trojans win over Louisiana in Week 2.
See more at https://t.co/aY3MDRLCkl
Troy sits at 3-3 in the Sun Belt, statistically one of top better G6 conferences this season based on non-conf results.
They would get points for a Sun Belt win, but no opponent win points if they beat UL Monroe here on @ESPNPlus
Missouri would also get the numerical credit for an opponent's Sun Belt win since they beat Troy in Week 3.
It's all formulaic. No "eye test", no bias. Just wins and losses. See more at https://t.co/aY3MDRLCkl
The biggest beneficiary of today's Big 12 results could be Houston. They've played a lot of those 4-2 and 3-3 Big 12 teams already, so more wins by those teams would net Houston opponent win points.
A Kansas State win here over ASU on ESPN2 would be more points for the Cougars.
https://t.co/aY3MDRLCkl
CSR #16 Indiana would see a resume boost with a North Texas win over Navy here on @CbssFootball
Assuming Notre Dame holds form against Navy later in the season, a Midshipmen win could boost Notre Dame's resume in the future.

CSR #23 Iowa about to get it going with CSR #47 Minnesota on @FS1
If Iowa keeps winning, they'll not only improve their resume but Ohio State's as well due to their H2H result.
The highest ranked beneficiary of a Minnesota win would be CSR #25 Mississippi State.

@AlabamaFTBL is the top 2 loss team in the Common Sense Rankings, sitting at #11 in last week's rankings.
They start with Texas A&M on @ABC at 3:30p ET.
An SEC win would likely put the Tide back in the top 10 pending results elsewhere.

Lots of calls of "trap game" for BYU against UCF on FOX.
BYU sits third in the CSR behind UCLA and Kentucky, but another Big 12 win would further improve the Cougars' resume. They'd get credit for all UCF's wins too.
A Knights win would boost Houston's resume due to Houston's win over UCF earlier in the year.
See the full rankings at https://t.co/aY3MDRLCkl
@UCLAFootball is #1 in the CSR. They're about to host Michigan State on @CBS.
A 5th Big Ten win would provide another boost to the Bruins' resume. They'd geta little more credit for MSU's two MAC wins too.
Meanwhile, a Spartans win would mean the top team in the CSR would lose in four straight weeks.

@Vol_Football kicking off with @GamecockFB here on @ESPN.
The Vols are #9 in the Common Sense Rankings after Week 8. Another SEC would only further their top 10 status. It would also boost Texas's resume.
A Gamecocks dub would mean Kentucky's resume, already in the #2 spot in the CSR, would be even more impressive. Alabama and Mississippi State's would also improve.

Oregon and Illinois getting going on @BigTenNetwork.
UCLA's resume, already #1, would improve with an Oregon win. Meanwhile a loss would hurt the resumes of Boise State and USC.
An Illinois win would benefit Ohio State's resume based on their game earlier in the year.

Baylor and Kansas teeing it up at 1pm ET here on TNT.
Auburn benefits from every win Baylor accrues due to the Tigers' win over the Bears in Week 1.
A Kansas win would boost Missouri and Houston's resume due to wins over the Jayhawks already in 2026.

@FAUFootball takes on @RiceFootball on ESPNU starting here at noon ET.
An FAU victory would further the Florida Gators resume cue to the Gators' win over the Owls in Week 1.
A Rice upset would provide Notre Dame and UTSA with a better resume.

Texas Tech is visiting Cincinnati at noon ET on FS1.
Texas Tech got a 1st place vote in the AP Poll following last week, but they're down at #13 in the CSR. Based on OOC results, the Big 12 is the third best conference in CFB, meaning their teams will need to continue winning to keep up with the SEC and Big Ten.
See the full conference rankings at https://t.co/aY3MDRMa9T
@CanesFootball and @Pitt_FB are about to get rolling on @espn.
The Canes are #1 in the AP but due to the limited out of conference success of the rest of the ACC, sit at #10 in the Common Sense Rankings. A win over Pitt would give the Hurricanes another ACC win, and they'd also receive credit for Pitt's five other wins so far this season.
Pitt is looking to make it three straight weeks where the #1 team has lost. That's never happened in the history of the AP Poll.

SMU is the most overrated team in the AP Poll according to the CSR, but a win today over California would potentially earn them their rank. That game starts shortly on @TheCW
SMU's body of work is still lacking due to lack of opponent success and Louisville continuing to lose.
