All stations are currently on scene of a structure fire in the 7200 block of E. Gleneagle Dr. When crews arrived they found heavy smoke on the first floor. The fire was located in the basement and quickly extinguished. No injuries reported.

Comstock Ave closed at Azuba for a well involved structure fire, gas meter involved. Avoid the area.

Fire danger is still EXTREME throughout Michigan.

Please keep this in mind and watch over any campfires/cooking fires with water and a shovel nearby. 

DNR fire crews have already responded to 193 fires so far this year.

Open burning permits are not being issued at this time.

With very little rain over the past week, grass and other surface fuels are very dry. Be cautious of any flame, spark, or embers that could start a fire in these fuels. There have been a number of these fires over the last few days, thankfully the light wind has kept them small.

Stations 9-1 & 9-2 on scene Gull Rd and Gull Run Dr for a 2 vehicle rollover crash with injuries. Westbound Gull Rd currently closed, avoid the area for the next 30 minutes or more.

Friday afternoon looks to be rainy with some thunder, but no severe weather is expected. Another lengthy dry period looks to be developing for next week, which could lead to an increase in outdoor fire danger. This will have to be monitored throughout the period.

Stations 9-3 and 9-1 are currently working a crash at the intersection of South 35th Street and East MN Ave. Five patients treated on scene. Avoid the intersection for approximately 30 minutes while we work to get the vehicles off the roadway.
