Reeves has broken her promises and hiked taxes by another £26 billion. All to fund more welfare and keep Labour MPs off her back.
No one will trust her again.

'People are receiving disability benefits for having tennis elbow!'
Kemi Badenoch sheds light on the fact that one in four Brits are claiming disability benefits, something she doesn't believe to be fully legitimate.
Norman Tebbit was a remarkable politician in an age of giants. He was physically brave, which I saw first hand in 1987 when he walked, head held high, through an intimidating crowd of hard-left demonstrators in Leicester. Some actually chanted “three cheers for the Brighton …
Lord Tebbit was a giant of the Conservative Party and British politics. He was a man devoted to promoting freedom and liberty and gave a lifetime of service to our country in the RAF and in Parliament. His formidable record in Government promoting trade, industry and job creation helped lift our country's economic fortunes and is a legacy to be proud of. Norman spent his life promoting our values and through adversary and challenge, he always displayed great courage.
It was a privilege to know Norman and receive his support and advice.
He will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace and be reunited with his dear wife.
I am deeply saddened to hear that Norman Tebbit has died. My predecessor in Chingford, my mentor and friend, Norman epitomised all that became to be known as Thatcherism and was critical to the success of the Thatcher Government in the 1980s.

He had a sharp and sometimes fierce sense of humour and never raised his voice but spoke in a slow and deliberate manner. He once said to me that those listening sat on the edge of those seats, not blasted into the back of them. Yet no politician or their family has suffered more in the course of his career in politics. We recall the IRA bombing of the Grand Hotel, when both he and his wife Margaret were seriously injured. She was paralysed and confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
Yet Norman’s injuries were not so visible but gave him great pain and yet at no stage did he ever seek sympathy. Perhaps the greatest sadness for him was having to watch, as a result of the Good Friday agreement, those who bombed the Grand Hotel walk free, while as he once said to me, “my wife will never walk anywhere again”. Norman was a titan in politics. He was tough but compassionate, and we will all miss him greatly. A true servant of this country. Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace. #normantebbit
One of Sir Keir's favourite lines is that Liz Truss "crashed the economy" -- a reference to the interest rate on 30-year gilts peaking at 5% after Truss's mini-budget.
Today, the interest rate on 30-year gilts climbed to 5.453%.
One of the darkest days in our nation's history. Children that can easily survive outside of the womb can be killed without consequence. Absolutely shameful.
Since I got my new work email last April, I have received press releases from the LibDems calling for a COBRA meeting SEVEN times.
Sometimes for ludicrous stuff like RAAC concrete, a US-based IT outage and sewage in the water.
Yet not a squeak from them over the past week.
This is a strong statement, and rightly so.
But it couldn’t contrast more starkly with Home Office Ministers’ reactions to the Manchester riots where violent thugs demanded instant justice ‘or else’ & where Ministers bent over backwards to explain that they ‘understood’ the anger.
Why has the Home Office response to these two events been so different? Can they not see how this feeds the narrative of a two tier approach and drives people to the far right? It is extraordinarily shortsighted and unwise
I’m delighted to share the cover for UNLEASHED and I’m looking forward to sharing the book with you when it is published this October.

Councillors at North Devon Council have voted down a Green Party motion, which if passed, would have seen the council serve only plant-based food 👏
