@PlayerGaelic This is super tool i always do it, let the players play there own way for 8 minutes without given direction, tactics, positions or aim just watch then stop chat with them and what I've found is they learn more about why we hold shape and what works best as a team
@CoachesLetsChat I Keep telling my players to play the game in goldfish mode forget it reset and move onto next phase of the game, goes for both conceding and scoring as don't want either to affect set up for match or focus of the team
@SFIsupplement Why can't we celebrate any age winning ๐คทโโ๏ธ, when has it become wrong to win and anyone who comes back with its there age answer this - when do you feel players should start to learn the difference between loss and win?
People think they are irreplaceable but I put a wig on a HEPA filter in senior infants this morning and it was nearly lunchtime before they realised their teacher was out.
@PlayerGaelic This sounds great only real way to resolve it is to have no finals or tables then with noting to drive for clubs will just allow all inclusive but on flip side we lose good gaa players to other sport where they can win a medal and life in reality is competition kids need to learn
@offtheball@gergilroy@GilletteUK Are we not hindering those players who do want to win and want to be driven to do their best at these competitions, what about those players?Equally play time is great but if a player is not going to training why should a player be taken off for that player only coming to a match
@Louthfootball81 @RTEgaa Why take these events away, I took u11 squad to soccer shield final kids were so delighted with themselves memories for life & also taken u11 hurlers to big competition really built character in all players. We need to stop lowering the bar of competition's life isn't like that
@fergalmallon@PlayerGaelic The ethos here is development of players so it's stated over and over play against the best to raise your standards, so maybe we challenge those u16 to push harder to take a u14 slot or maybe those u16 haven't been to training why should they start over a dedicated u14 player
@PlayerGaelic More background info is needed, is this match a semi final do we start best 15 to reach that next stage and at these ages it should be based on ability cause these u16's will be minors next year. We have to keep pushing players to reach their full potential to get game time
@Louthfootball81 @RTEgaa If we take away competition in gaa only will those developing players not leave too as they want that competition buzz they will get at soccer or athletic because why would they stay to be pulled off in a match so Johnny who doesn't come to training can get game time
