Before i give up on people, i always make sure i really try. I always give more chances than i should, and i always try to find understanding in their actions. That way when i give up i know im done for good, and nobody can act surprised when they dont hear from me again 🚶♀️🚪
There's a Turkish saying-"If you truly love someone, you love them twice."
The first time, it's all about attraction-their smile, voice, presence. But slowly, the curtain lifts. You see their scars, insecurities, mood swings, trauma, moral differences.
It's no longer perfect. It's real.
And if you can still love them-without filters, without expectations-That's not infatuation. That's the love of understanding.
The kind that stays.
The kind that grows.
no one talks about how hard it is when your mood is constantly switching between “its okay, i don't care. i'm fine” and “i don't know how much more i can take”.
please get comfortable with going to events, movies, concerts, coffee shops, museums, etc. by yourself so you don't miss out on life waiting on people.
A lot of people feel “healed” when they’re single because everything feels manageable. You run your life exactly the way you want. But the moment you let someone in, the real work begins. Old patterns and fears wake up: fear of being abandoned, fear of loss, fear that you’re not enough. That’s not a bad sign. It’s a sign you’re human.
when you realize you're deeply in love with them, you're faced with a harsh truth: you're either going to marry them or risk experiencing one of the most devastating heartbreaks of your life. there's no in-between – it's all or nothing. the depth of your love will either be your greatest strength or your biggest weakness
You will think you’re a good person until you fall in love or enter a relationship. Then you’re stripped bare. Love confronts all of your insecurities, vices, weaknesses and toxic traits.
Shows you you’re not that patient or kind. Not as forgiving or tolerant as you thought.
I owe myself an apology for hurting my own heart just to make them feel okay. For staying silent when I should’ve spoken up, for bending until I broke just to keep the peace, and for forgetting my worth while trying to prove I mattered. I’m sorry for putting myself last in a story I was barely part of.
“Its love, when a little girl puts her energy to give dad a head massage. Its love, when a wife makes tea for husband and take a sip before him. Its love, when a mother gives her son the best piece of cake. Its love, when your friend holds your hand tightly on a slippery road. Its love, when your brother messages you and asks did you reach home on time.. Love is not just a guy holding a girl and going around the city. Love is when you send a small message to your friends to make them smile Love is actually another name for care .”
there will be a time in your life when someone you love will do smth terribly heart breaking, ur world will collapse and at that breaking point u will realise how much love you have for them and u will tend to forgive them bcs before anything they were a gentle pair of hands to u
I highly recommend having a partner that's mature enough to sit down and be like " look this is our problem and this is how we're gonna fix it.." not someone who pulls away everytime while you cry yourself to sleep.
Idc what anybody says. Its not hard to be loyal. Its not hard to be faithful. Its not hard to treat someone right. Its not hard to give someone reassurance. Its not hard to stick to one person. Its not hard to acknowledge someone's worth. Its not hard to not break someone's heart
People who love themselves, have the strongest cut off game known to man because they truly enjoy their own company. They trust their intuition. They don’t tolerate or make excuses for weird behavior because they don’t need to. They just move on. Happily, without expectation.
Ngl, adult friendships require grace. People are very busy. People are healing. People are growing. People are taking time for self care just like you. Less communication isn’t less love. Check in not out.
