@_quincey I think today’s polling results give an indication of where the public are leaning - unfortunately the consequence will be an increase in seats for SF at the next election while smart unionism looks on bewildered by yet another strategic blunder by Bryson, Lockard and Buckley.
@mooreholmes24 The trend of SF popularity rising once again due to yet another strategic blunder by Lockhart, Bryson and Buckley. SF are laughing all the way to the polls. Outwitted again.
@MatthewOToole2 This show is part of the problem in NI right now - consciously platforming divisive characters for entertainment value. In no other reputable political commentary programmes would those voices be elevated.
@JonBurrowsMLA Comments of whataboutery are depressing on this thread. Two things can be wrong at the same time. Tbf, Jon has consistently called out loyalist paramilitaries. The killers of RMcC were cold blooded killers and shame on those from SF who were part of the cover up.
@JimAllister Yet your Party wishes to bring down Stormont and put the future of this place in the hands of the UKG who have screwed unionism over time and time again …..that’s a strategy for slow learner !!
@JimAllister No Jim, thanks to your party, to Bryson, to Carla Lockhart and to Jonny B, SF are laughing right now at unionism. You have just united nationalism and elevated SF to a position they could have only dreamed of 3 months ago. I’m sure they are in disbelief at unionists own goal.
@jimb06@JamieBrysonLLB So are SF not competing with unionists for seats? Becuase the last I heard they were fighting the same election as unionist parties. What you miss in this flawed strategy is that unionism needs to grow, not just shuffle around same pool of people for the union to survive.
@JamieBrysonLLB You do realise SF supporters are loving this?? Does it not alarm TUV supporters or make them even slightly curious about why SF are cheering on their strategy??? Like they literally think mana has arrived !
@stephenirwin80@JamieBrysonLLB Bemusing how ridiculously bad some within unionism are at strategising ! It’s just one own goal after another to the point that they make so many strategic errors, it’s almost unbelievable. Burrows holds out the only hope for unionism.
@SuzyJourno Pat Cullen has virtually disappeared from politics since becoming an MP, with the F&ST electorate being the ultimate losers. To go from Claire Hanna, a strong voice for NI, to a SF rep who has vanished from the politicial scene would be a disaster for any constituency.
@AlisonW37619617@columeastwood@DarranMarshall@carlalockhart … not even the majority of those in the Orange Order agree with what Carla, Jamie and Jonny are doing never mind Unionism ! Far from it ! Grand Lodge has been mute as far as Drumcree goes and offering P’down District their support.
@brexitears1@JonBurrowsMLA As above, listen to Stormont Sources Podcast. You’ve an ex-spad for the DUP, alongside someone from SF and the SDLP unanimously saying Burrows is offering something different from all other parties, it’s been parroted by most political commentators.
@brexitears1@JonBurrowsMLA Go and listen to the latest edition of Stormont Sources or read the article by Newton Emerson in the BT about Burrows and Drumcree. There’s unanimous agreement that he is the only leader who offered the electorate a choice other than polarised positions over Drumcree
