so blade never got off the ground, ironheart never got the respect it deserved. anthony mackie isn’t being pushed as our actual captain america, and kevin feige decides to pull the plug on wonderman— alrighty then
mcu glazers trying to claim it’s no big deal wonder man was cancelled because he could appear in future movies like there aren’t a bunch of characters we haven’t see for years because the mcu have done fuck all with them
From what I remember reading he also had to pass on several movies while waiting for Blade. He’s got every right to call Marvel & Kevin Feige out for this. And now with Wonder Man?! Very bad look on their part
genuinely evil that when I was a child I worried about this only to be told "they'll fix it don't worry" only for them not to fix it and actively make it worse
my bad i assumed we as queer people were all in agreement that emma d’arcy having hot gay sex of ANY kind on prime time tv would be one of the single greatest advancements in human history that’s on me i guess
in the midst of all this marvel stuff with their black characters, i hope eric kripke knows he’s not off the hook either even with the boys being done now. along with a shitty final season, marie and sage’s mistreatment is also apart of his legacy forever too
- Blade cancelled
- Wonder Man cancelled
- Monica is MIA
- Ironheart was barely marketed
- Armor Wars is dead
- Cap 4 was sabotaged by the studio
- Sam is sidelined for Steve in Doomsday
This is not a coincidence.
I regret to inform you that you are not actually anti-genocide if you don’t recognize the right of oppressed people to violently resist their oppressors.
if the show was gonna highlight lestat apologizing to one mortal victim, he should've apologized to miss lily instead of some new guy named enzo. the script could've touched on lily's interiority, that she had a full life outside her job that lestat never cared to think of before
it was so fucking jarring watching iwtv for the first time then wading into fandom to see ppl treat louis, a character they watched for two seasons who *wants* to reflect on his life, his faults, and his failures with outright hostility and/or the absence of empathy.
we had louis in literally the very first episode listing every sin he believed defined him, convinced he was damned. he didn’t lack self awareness, guilt and self loathing have always been central to his characterisation. this is who they wanted to “humble”?
we didn't even get to see louis making legendary ick faces at his love interests this season...no "possessed by florence's hater spirit" gleam in his eye...what have they done to my son he lost all his whimsy he isn't even bullying people about their worst insecurities anymore...
